Phoebe Crofut was born on 17 September 1724 in Fairfield, Fairfield, Connecticut. She and Daniel Beardsley were married 10 November in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She died in 1778, at age ~54, in Western, Oneida County, New York.

Sarah Beardsley was born on 21 April 1745. She and Peleg Sunderland were married. She died.

Aene Dillah Beardsley was born on 29 December 1745. She died.

Timothy Beardsley was born on 28 January 1746. He died.

Lucy Beardsley was born on 1 March 1749. She died.

Bennett Beardsley was born on 7 May 1751. He died.

John Beardsley was born on 12 April 1752. He died.

Phebe Beardsley was born on 20 June 1753. She died.

Abijah Beardsley was born on 2 December 1755 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut. He died on 13 March 1830, at age 74. He was buried in Elm Street Cemetery, Ansonia, New Haven County, Connecticut.

This Eli is almost certainly the father of Laura Beardsly. From the obituary of Laura's daughter Armina, we find that she lived with her parents until she was twenty-five years old, when she went to live with her grandparents at Marshall, Michigan. (This would be about 1851, and her LeClear grandparents died before this date) In 1852 Mr. And Mrs. Wells moved to Black River Falls Wisconsin.
The Bail Book for Saratoga County New York lists Eli Beardlee as the bondsman a carpenter from Milton in the sute by James Barless against Elihu Benedict 28 Aug 1806.
In 1840, I have been unable to locate Eli Beardsley does not seem to be indexed in the US Census.
According to the Census of 1850 there were several Beardsly's living in Marshall Michigan. Eli Beardsly being an 81 year old carpenter was the only one old enough to be Armina's grandfather. Daniel Beardsly, age 42, and George Beardsly, age 40, are also carpenters, and may well be sons of Eli. Eli was living with Eliza a 32 year old female, probably his daughter, and Amalia Wells a 16 year old female born in New York. It is tempting to suspect this was actually granddaughter Armina, who married James Wells, but she is too young, so perhaps was another granddaughter. Eli's household does not include his second wife.
From World Family Tree Vol 17, #1157. Apparently, the entire Beardsley family from western New York State, left for the west in 1838. Daniel Beardsley and his wife and children went to Pennsylvania before continuing on to Michigan. They all settled in Lee Twp, in northeastern Calhoun County, Michigan, except for Charles H. Beardsley, who settled in nearby Clarendon, Michigan.
According to the Beardsley Genealogy by Nellie and Charles Holt, Eli married a daughter of Ephraim Judson and had four children baptized at St. Paul Church, Huntington, Connecticut:

It may be possible that the children listed with his wife Patty Lewis represent a second marriage.

The FGRA sheet has his christening 9 Aug 1702, of Fairfield..., wife Avis Adams, his death 1772. There was no FGRA sheet with him as husband.

"History and Genealogy of the Families of Old Fairfield" gives the same baptism (christening). says "m. (rec. Fairfield, date omitted) Avis
Adams..., d. at Redding, in 1772. It says "Adm'n granted to Daniel Crofut, Daniel Beardsley, and James Curtiss, 18 Aug 1772. Distribution 12 Dec. 1772; Daniel. eldest son, had full portion; Stephen, dec'd had more than full portion, Stephen, only child and heir to son John dec'd; dau. Phebe, wife of Daniel Beardsley; heirs of dau. Kezia Curtis dec'd; dower of widow 'Eves' Crofut."

Other sources searched: Connecticut vital records, which has his christening 7 Aug 1702, and probate records. (FHL films 2906 and
1018744) Name spelled Crofut in vital records, Crofoot in probate record of administration of his estate which named children and
sons-in-law. In some records the name is spelled Crowfoot. Daniel Crofut was christened on 7 August 1702 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Avis Adams was born on 29 November 1702 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She and Daniel Crofut were married in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She died after 1772.

This sheet gives his birth, name of parents, name of wife and gives his death 23 Jan 1706. Probate records of Fairfield shows his will was
dated 23 Jan 1706 and proved 28 May 1707.

"History and Genealogy of Families of Old Fairfield" says, on page 165 and 166, "Doubtless son of Joseph and Mary (Hilier) Crofut of
Springfield, b. 23 Jan 1669/70. ..." It said he settled in Fairfield, gives the name of his wife, date of his will, 23 Jan 1706/7, date of proving 28 May 1707, and says it named his wife, Pheby, Exec'x; three sons; son-in-law Nathaniel Lyon. (This is probably his step-son.)

Regarding Daniel's wife, Phoebe, the FGRA sheet gives her birth "abt 1672, of Fairfield, Fairfield, Conn."

"... Families of Old Fairfield" says "Daniel Crofut settled in Fairfield and married Phebe, widow of William Lyon.

She married (3) Samuel Jackson and (4) Zechariah Lawrence. His will 23 Jan 1706/7, proved 28 May 1707; wife Pheby, Exec'x; three sons;
son-in-law Nathaniel Lyon. Zachariah Lawrence of Fairfield conveyed 3 June 1736 to Daniel Crowfoot, David Crowfoot and Gabriel Jackson,
children of wife Phebe Lawrence, late of Fairfield, dec'd all her moveable Estate.

She had children by her first husband, Nathaniel, baptized 9 Sep 1694, William, baptized 16 Feb 1695/6. Moses, baptized 9 May 1698 and
Benjamin, baptized 8 sep 1700, all at Fairfield, and a child, Gabriel, by her third husband, baptized 9 Jan 1709 at Stratfield. (from "Families of Old Fairfield" Vol 1 pg 321 and 396.

Phoebe Lyon was born about 1672 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She died.
