from one gedcom died 1886 in Putnam Ohio. JAMES BUNN - son of Peter and Mary Bunn, was born in Ross county, in October, 1812, and came into Putnam county in 1834. He married, November 18, 18- , as his first wife, Rosanna Bushong, who was born in Ross county, November 16, 1810, and died August 29, 1863. Her parents, George and Lydia Rush Bushong, settled in this county in 1834. The children a this union were fourteen: William, born April 13, 1828; Henry, born August 16, 1930, and died May 10, 1832; John, born December 25, 1832, died in October, 1840; Mary, November 25, 1834; Lydia, October 21, 1836; Maria, born in September, 1838, died in October, 1840; George W., May 28, 1841; Thomas, June 17, 1843; Sarah, born December 21, 1845, died April 13, 1863; Drusilla, August 23, 1840; James, born December 25, 1848, died August 13, 1861; Harmon, August 13, 1854; and twins, Jefferson and Louis, born March 3, 1857. The second marriage was at Lima, Ohio, December 23, 1873, to Catharine Fullerton. George Bushong, father of the first wife, served in the war of 1812, and is still living with James Bunn. Mr. Bunn's oldest brother, Harmon, was also a soldier in the war of 1812. He had three sons, William, George W., and Thomas, served in the war of the Rebellion. James Bunn was an early settler in this township. He had to depend chiefly on hunting for aand furs were all the available means of the settlers for getting money. Deer and all kinds of game were very abundant here at that time. Business, farming. Postoffice, Columbus Grove. REFN12632.
