Mrs. Lois Fields, 52, wife of Carl Fields, Pataskala, was found dead at 1 p.m. Friday. She was stricken in the yard of her home as she raked the grass and was discovered there by a neighbor. A physician stated that she had been dead about two hours. Dr. William E. Shrontz, Licking County coroner was notified.
Born May 8, 1904, in Columbus Grove, she was the daughter of the late Isaac F. and Anna (Hildebrant) Bunn. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. John (Patty) Donaldson of Carey, one son, Richard Fields of Pataskala; also four grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Anna Bunn of Columbus Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Maxine Spicer of Leipsic, Mrs. Jane Ruff of Detroit, Mich. and two brothers, Gilbert and Raymond Bunn of Columbus Grove.
A past matron of Wahneta Chaprer, Order of Eastern Star, Mrs. Fields was also a member of the Pataskala Garden Club and the Quest Club of Pataskala.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Pataskala, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Charles E. Nash will officiate and burial will be made in Pataskala Cemetery.

GROVE SOLDIER DIES IN LUZON
Columbus Grove, Feb. 15 -- Pfc. Carl Bunn, 26, of Columbus Grove, was killed in action in Luzon, Jan. 17, the Ward department has informed his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bunn of Columbus Grove.
Pvt. Bunn, a field artilleryman, was a graduate of Columbus Grove high school in 1936. He has been in overseas service four years and was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the Japanese sneak attack, Dec. 7, 1941.
He was born in Columbus Grove, July 29, 1918. Pvt. Bunn was a member of the Congregational-Christian church. His father is a retired rural mail carrier.
Surviving besides the parents are two brothers and three sisters, Gilbert of Flint, Mich.; Raymond of Wapakoneta; Mrs. Lois Fields, Patalaska; Mrs Maxine Spicer of Dayton and Jane, at home.
Columbus Grove, July 19 (1949) -- Reburial services for Sgt. Carl L. Bunn, 27, of this community, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hartman Sons funeral home. The Rev. Benjamin Davies, assisted by the Rev. Willard Thomas, will officiate, with burial in Truro cemetery, near here.
The Columbus Grove American Legion wil conduct military rites. The body of Sgt. Bunn will arrive here at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Said Plaintiff says that on the day of letters of
Administration on the Estate of Jacob Bushong theretofore deceased, intestate,
given by the Probate Court of said County of Hancock and State of Ohio duly
issued to this Plaintiff who thereupon duly qualified and entered on the
duties of said office and that Plaintiff is at present the duly qualified and
acting Administrator of the Estate of said decedent.
Said Plaintiff further represents that valid debts of said decedent
amounting to Two Thousand two Hundred and Eighty-Eight dollars and seventy
five cents have already been presented to your Petitioner for payment . That the
costs of Administration will amount to about Four Hundred dollars and that the
total value of the personal Estate and effects of said decedent is about
Three Hundred and thirty seven dollars being wholly insufficient to pay the
debts and costs aforesaid.
Said Plaintiff further represents that said Jacob Bushong died seized
in fee simple of the following described real estate situate in the County
of Hancock and State of Ohio to wit: The West half of the South West
quarter of Section Eleven (11) in Township Two (2) North Range Ten (10) East.
That said decedent also died seized of other real estate but your
petitioner says he believes said above described real estate will be sufficient
to pay all of said debts and expenses.
That said Jacob Bushong died leaving the said Elizabeth Bushong, his
widow who is entitled to Dower in said premises.
Said Plaintiff Therefor prays that the Dower of said Elizabeth Bushong
may be set off to and assigned to her in said premises and that he may be
authorized to sell said premises subject to said Dower estate recording to
the statute in such case made and provided.

the said John Bushong of the County of Hancock and State of Ohio in
consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars in hand paid to Jacob Bushong of
Hancock County and State of Ohio has Bargained and Sold and by these presents do
hereby grant, bargain Sell and convey unto the said Jacob Bushong his heirs
and assigns forever the following premises, situated in the County of Hancock
and State of Ohio and is bounded and described as follows: Being the South

John married Anna Hannah Rodabaugh Aug.30,1832 d/o Daniel & Elizabeth (Myers) Rodabaugh they were married in Columbia co.oh. where John T. was born, and his father Augustine passed on, Mother Barbara married Abraham Meyers, before they came to Hancock co.oh. in 1832.
John T., having been blessed with two children with Anna Hanna - Simon,and Barbara Catherine. When Anna went to be with the Lord in 1838, John married Dec.23,1840 Mary Jane Hodge d/o John&Rachel(Seeds)Hodge.
John and Mary Jane were blessed with four children:Thomas Hodge, Lydia Ann, Frederick Keller,and Lucy Almira. John Thomas never got to see his daughter Lucy Almira, as in June of 1854 the cholera struck hancock co,oh. It took family members,and sometimes even the whole family. Some were still dying in October. John was struck and died Sept.1,1854. Mary Jane then married Oct.11,1860 John Willson.

Reece as sureties, of the County of Hancock, and State of Ohio, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Ohio, in the penal sum of One Hundred and Twenty five Dollars, to the payment of which sum to the State of Ohio, we do bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally, by these Presents.

THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That if the above named John A. Mrs. Jacob Bushong, mother of J. W. Bushong died at her home in Portage
township, Hancock county on Monday evening. The funeral services were held
at the late residence on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The services were
conducted by Rev. W. A. Echols. Mrs. Bushong was one of the oldest residents of
Portage township, and was highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves a
number of relatives and a large circle of friends to mourn her death. She
was in her seventy-seventh year.
