,"John and Mark are natives of Augusta County, VA. John and Mark were reared
upon a farm. In 1838 John learned the carpenter's trade and worked at the
business for eight years, then they came to Parke County, IN and there John
married, Elizabeth Noel, nee Puett. Her father Matthew Noel was a native of
Kentucky, and her mother Myra Puett of North Carolina; the former died in
1851, and the latter in 1861. After his marriage Mr Bushong continued to
work at his trade, in Indiana, till 1857, when he and his brother moved to
Livingston County, Missouri, and farmed till 1869, when they moved to Gundy
County and purchased a beautiful farm of 200 acres of choice fertile land.
They have lived together and done business together for over 33 years, and
so far there has never been a word of difference between them. They are
active and energetic men and alive to everything for the public good. They

It is our sad duty to announce this week the death of the beloved wife of
that staunch friend of the Record, Mr. D. C. Warner, who had been the
life-long sharer in his labors, his defeats and successes, his joys and sorrows.
Mrs. Warner when she joined her life for weal or woe with "Uncle Dan," was
Miss Angeline Bushong. She was born in Portage township, this county, 22
September 1837; her death occurred in this city, 13 April 1904. Although she
had been ailing for some time she was not prostrated until a few days
before her death came. She was married to Mr. D. C. Warner 19 October 1856. With
her husband, she resided on their farm four miles east of McComb up till
1892 when they removed to their cozy cottage here and retired from active
life. She was the mother of nine children, four sons and five daughters, of
whom seven survive her, namely, Mrs. Baker, Iola Kans; Sylvester E. Warner,
Knoxville, Tennessee; Mrs. Crawford, Tipton, Indiana; and Scott Warner, J.
B. Warner, Mrs. Dick Morris and Mrs. H. R. Kinsey, residents of McComb. She
also leaves five sisters and three brothers, 16 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren. funeral services today at 2
pm at the home of West South Street, conducted by Rev. Henry Doty of the
U. B. church, of which Mrs. Warner was a member. The following relatives and
friends from out of town were present at the obsequies: Mr. and Mrs.
George Baker, Iola, Kansas; Mrs. Carrie Patton, Monroeville, Ohio; Miss Bessie
Weaver, Hudson, Michigan; Mrs. Ed Lawrence, Warsaw, Indiana; Clarence
Wagner, Espyville, Pennsylvania; Roscoe Wagner, Jefferson, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs.

Find A Grave Memorial# 39074306. D. C. WARNER, farmer and stock raiser, P. O. Van Buren, was born November 2, 1834, where he now resides, on Section 15, Portage Township, this county, son of Daniel and Mary (Himer) Warner, former born in New York State, April 24, 1799, of English descent, latter born in Philadelphia, Peniu The Warner family came to America many years before the war of the Revolution, Gen. Warner, of Revolutionary fame, being a member of the family. Daniel Warner, the father of the subject of this sketch, came to this county February 14,1834, and entered 160 acres of land in Portage Township, where he died in 1881. His family consisted of seven children, the subject of this sketch being the sixth. D. C. Warner was reared on the farm, acquired a common school education, and has made agriculture the principal occupation of his life; ho is at present the owner of 219 acres of land. Ho served 100 days in Company G, One Hundred and Thirty-third Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Onr subject was united in marriage, in 1856, with Angeline, daughter of Jacob Bushong, and of German descent. To them were born nine children, seven of whom survive: Willie L.; Scott, married to Caroline Steen; Sylvester, married to Ida Deter; Loie J., married to William W. Mrs. Carrie M. Kinsey, 88, McComb, died at 6:15 p.m. yesterday in the Kollmeier Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for several years.

Born March 7, 1876, in Portage township, where she lived all her life, she was the daughter of Daniel C. and Angeline (Bushong) Warner. She was married in 1903 to Henry Reed Kinsey who died in 1919.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Opal) Spitler, Route 2, McComb; Mrs. Clarence (Lulu) Orwick, McComb; Mrs. Ben (Margaret) Bowman, Berea; Mrs. A. W. (Bernice) Stevenson, Yakima, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Sons, Don and Gaylord and four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

She was a member of the McComb Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Harmon Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in McComb Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

Mrs. Dallas Combs Bushong, 80, of Prairie Grove, Ark., the mother of
Thomas M. Bushong of Westville, died Sunday in a Prairie Grove hospital,
after an extended illness. She was born March 8, 1879 in Fayetteville, the
daughter of the Rev. M. M. and Susan Combs and was a member of the First
Christian church in Prairie Grove.
Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Fayetteville with interment
in the Gill Cemetery near Van Buren, Ark.
Survivors other than her son, Thomas, of Westville are her husband, Thomas

James Thomas Bushong, 72 years old, of 2022 Alma Blvd. Van Buren, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 18, 1967 in a local hospital. He was born January 29, 1896 at Mountainburg, Arkansas and had lived in Van Buren for 25 years. He was a retired carman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are his wife; five daughters; two brothers; two sisters; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with the pastor, Edwin Burris, officiating. Burial directed by Edwards Funeral Home, was in Gill Cemetery.

Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were three daughters, Mrs. H. Nelson of Walnut Creek, California and Mrs. N. Neal of Tulsa; a granddaughter, Mrs. Booth of Fresno, California and a sister, Mrs Morrison of Henryetta, Oklahoma.
