Immigrated to America on the "Mary and John", part of the Winthrop Fleet, harbored in Weymouth, England. The "Mary and John" left Weymouth in 1630 and according to record was caught in a gail and could not leave the English Channel so they put in at Plymouth Harbour until the storm passed. The record states that the passengers did not leave the ship at Plymouth. The passengers of the "Mary and John" were a company of Puritans from the west of England, gathered together by the Rev. John Warham and the Rev John Maverick. The ship sailed from Plymouth March 20 1630 and arrived of Nantasket on May30 1630. The passengers all settled at Mattapan, which was later renamed Dorchester. About five to six years later many of the settlement moved to and began Windsor, Connecticut.

Prof F. Thistlewaite of Cambridge University, England wrote about the "Mary and John"' and the1630 crossing.

Immigrated to America on the "Mary and John", part of the Winthrop Fleet, harbored in Weymouth, England. The "Mary and John" left Weymouth in 1630 and according to record was caught in a gail and could not leave the English Channel so they put in at Plymouth Harbour until the storm passed. The record states that the passengers did not leave the ship at Plymouth. The passengers of the "Mary and John" were a company of Puritans from the west of England, gathered together by the Rev. John Warham and the Rev John Maverick. The ship sailed from Plymouth March 20 1630 and arrived of Nantasket on May30 1630. The passengers all settled at Mattapan, which was later renamed Dorchester. About five to six years later many of the settlement moved to and began Windsor, Connecticut.

Prof F. Thistlewaite of Cambridge University, England wrote about the "Mary and John"' and the1630 crossing.
