Dakota Reed Bushong, age 9, of Topeka died as result of a sledding accident that took place Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:47 AM in Topeka, IN. He was born December 6, 1999 in Goshen to Phillip & Shannon (Fisher) Bushong. He was a member of Topeka Baptist Church, and was a third grade student at Topeka Elementary School. He was a very happy go lucky boy. He loved all sports, skate boarding and riding his bike. He will forever be missed by his family and friends that loved him dearly.

Surviving are his parents Phillip and Shannon (Fisher) Bushong, two sisters, Erin (Travis) Young, and Breann Bushong, one Brother, Colton Bushong, Grandparents, Ron and MaryAnn Fisher, Jim and Carol Bushong, Kerry Sheley, Great-Grandparents, Bernard and Carol McMurry, Great-Great-Grandmother, Ruby Pierce; Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, and his dog Casper, who all love him and miss him very much.
He was preceded in death by his Great-Grandparents, Dana and Laura Greenawalt, Bill Bushong, Lenard and Martha Fisher, and Burt and Dora Ott.
