Donald "Don" Doyle Melton, age 76, entered into rest Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his Festus residence. He had retired as dairy manager for National, member of Local 655 retail clerks union and a long time member of Radiant Life Church in Festus. Born September 11, 1936, in Truman, Arkansas, to the late Harvey and Flossie (Bushong) Melton. He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Juanita (Ward) Melton; daughters: Donna (Jim) Fisher of Imperial and Tamara Warner of Crystal City; brother, Frank Melton of Herculaneum; sisters: Jane (Lyle) Linn of Pharr, TX and Judy Blaylock of Pharr, TX; and 3 grandchildren: Nathan, Kyle and Tyler Fisher. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 4 at 10am at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Visitation Monda from 5-8pm. Interment Peaceful Ridge Cemetery. Menda M. Bushong, 90, of Jonesboro died Saturday August 6, 2011 at St.
Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro. She was born in Okean, Arkansas and had lived
in Jonesboro since 1950. She was a nurse assistant and of the Batpist
belief. She enjoyed working as a nurse's aide and taking care of people. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson Bushong, son James Edgar
Bushong and one daughter Jeanette Vandiver. Survived by her sons, J. T.
Bushong of Alabama, Arthur Ray Bushong of Michigan City, Indiana, Jackie Leon
Bushong of Dardanelle and Bobby Ray Bushong of Jonesboro. Daughters Annette
Bunch of Searcy, Wanda Stahl of Harrisburg, Genevieve Hancock of Jonesboro
and Carolyn Lemons of Jonesboro; 38 grandchildren and many great
grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday 9 August 2011 in Emerson
Memorial Chapel, with Brother Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at
Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Grandsons will be
pallbearers. Honorary pall bearers will be Tony Bittle and Carl Eudy.
Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until service time on Tuesday 9 August at Emerson

She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend; many lives were enriched by knowing her and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Turner E. "Bubba" Vandiver; her mother, Menda Bushong of Jonesboro; her beloved dog, Isabelle; her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Bushong.

A celebration of her life was held at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette

Jackie Leon Bushong age 72 of Dardanelle died Thursday, 3 October 2013 at his home. He was born 17 July 1941 at Truman, Arkansas to the late Robert and Menda Johnson Bushong. He was a Christian, he loved fishing, hunting, camping and building things. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bushong of Dardanelle; two children, Jackie Bushong Jr of Dardanelle, Tammye Lynn Johnson of IL; stepchildren, Teresa Hester of Texas, Tammy Renee Benson of Texas; four brothers; three sisters; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.




Graveside services will be held at 2:00P.M., Monday, 7 October 2013 at Graves Cemetery in Delaware with Kenneth Aden officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

Bob Bushong, 70, of Belleville, Ill., born Aug. 21, 1938, in Little Rock,
Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Bushong was a retired bus driver. Bob was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rita, nee Meekes, Hall.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Christine Ann, nee Przybysz, Bushong,
whom he married Oct. 15, 1982; four sons, Barry Bushong, Robert Bushong, James

Mrs. Ruby Louise Bushong of Trumann passed away October 14, 2003, at the Beverly Health & Rehab in Jonesboro due to natural causes. She was 83 years old.

Mrs. Bushong was born in Harrisburg and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. She was a retired nurse's aide and of the Pentecostal faith.

Mrs. Bushong is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Taylor of Jonesboro, Shirley Mae Dye of Trumann, Molly S. Coffman of Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Jimmy Wayne Bushong and Earl Bushong, both of Bono, William Lewis Bushong of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Pearlie Mae Simmons of Fort Smith, Ark.; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bushong were held Friday morning in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dr. Jim Shaw and Ronnie Dye officiating and the burial followed at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.

JOHN PIERCY, 62, RFD 2, WOODLAWN DIES SUDDENLY

John Piercy of RFD 2, Woodlawn, died suddenly from a heart attack at
1:15 p.m. Saturday while loading firewood near Woodlawn.
Mr. Piercy, who resided on the Richview Road, near Cravat, was 62
years, two months and 16 days of age.
He had been employed for 34 years at the Illinois Central railroad
shops in Centralia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal
Church 1201 South Locust in Centralia. The Rev. George Hudson will officiate
and burial will be in Mount Catherine Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix where
friends may call.
Mr. Piercy was born in Jefferson County, the son of Sherwood and Mary
(Foutch) Piercy.
He was married 17 January 1918, to MAUDE BUSHONG, who survives.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Centralia.
