MRS. ARMEDA BUSHONG

RICHWOOD----Mrs. Armeda Bushong, 71, of southeast of Richwood, died in the
home of a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Fetter, near Prospect at 5:30 pm Friday.
She had been ill eight months. Born 20 February 1877, in Green Camp
Township, Marion County, she was a daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Kirts Johnson.
8 October 1893, she was married in Union County to William Bushong who died
13 years ago. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church south of Marion.
Surviving with the daughter in whose home she died are other children,
Clarence Bushong of Prospect, Glennard Bushong and Mrs. Edith Boccher, both
of near Kenton. Mrs. Eva Shirk of Kenton, Audrey Bushong of near Richwood,
Mrs. Mary Elsassor of Jefferson Street, Marion, and Arthur Bushong of near
Richwood, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a brother, John
Johnson of Fostoria.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 pm in the Hastings
Funeral Home here by Rev. W. R. Budke, pastor of Trinity church. Burial will be
in Otterbein Cemetery near Prospect. Friends may call at the Fetter home
until noon Monday, then at the funeral home. Armeda's son, living with her parents in 1920..

with his family at his side at Mt. Carmel-St. Ann’s Hospital in
Westerville.
He was a retired iron worker with Iron Workers Local #172, Columbus. He
was an active and faithful member of the Raymond United Methodist Church and
was a 1944 graduate of Raymond High School. A 50 year member of the
Masonic Lodge, Jim was a member of the former Newton Lodge #249 F&AM and was a
current member Mt. Carmel Lodge #303 F&AM. He also enjoyed his membership
with the former Fern Chapter #170, Order of the Eastern Star, and Mary
Chapter #9, Order of the Eastern Star. An avid outdoorsman, Jim loved hunting
and fishing and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He will be remembered most
for his love and devotion to his family.
He was born November 5, 1926, in Columbus to the late Otis Claire and
Hazel Katherine Bushong Russell. He was preceded in death by a son, James “
Jamie” Russell, and a great-grandson, Owen Vincent.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rosemary Hogue Russell, to whom he
was married on June 8, 1947, at the York Center United Brethren Church; his
children, Pam (Larry) Marshall and Sandy (Jeff) Glasmeier, each of
Raymond; and Tom Russell and Dixie Chapman, each of Marysville; 5 grandchildren,
Stephen (Jolene) Paver, Hollie (James) Moots, Carrie Chapman, PFC Dustin
(Anna) Barker, and Joshua (Dinah) Barker; 9 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Molly,
AJ, Robbie, Reese, Costin, Heaven, Marley, and Libby; his brother, Bob
(Alice) Russell, Raymond; and his sister, Grayce (Ralph) Kleiber, Raymond.
Services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Raymond United Methodist Church. Reverends Doug Flinn and Seeyong Lee will
officiate and burial will take place at York Cemetery. Friends may call from
2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Mannasmith Funeral Home where a Masonic
memorial service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Raymond United Methodist Church in care of
