Lana Jo (Bushong) Tumbleson, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 2:00pm at her home in Albion. She had been ill for the past 9 years.

She was born in Kendallville on May 28, 1951 and was one of three children born to William Bushong and Carol (Pierce) McMurray. She lived her lifetime in the Albion area, graduating from Albion-Jefferson High School in the Class of 1969. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Arabian Horse Club.

Mrs. Tumbleson enjoyed music, crafts, painting, riding her horse and cosmetology. She was a graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty College. For the past 17 years, she worked at Parker Hanafin in Albion.

On December 27, 1994 she married Timothy J. Tumbleson in Bonita Springs, Florida. He survives in Albion.

Also surviving are her mother, Carol McMurray of Mason City, Iowa. Children, John Mountz of Kendallville, Brad (Amanda) Mountz of Kendallville, Jennifer (Adam) Strack of Fort Wayne. Grandchildren, Taylor, Kayla, Chloe and Abigail Mountz, Breanna and Brooke Strack. A sister, Mindy Collazo of Florida, and a brother, James Bushong of Goshen.

She is preceded in death by her father, William.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tumbleson will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel. Rev. Bret Frymier will officiate.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.

Sumner Edward Bushong, 89, of Raymond died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at
Heartland of Marysville following an extended illness.
A self-employed carpenter for many years, he had been employed with
Knowlton Construction, worked in maintenance at TRC, and owned and
operated his own fleet of dump trucks. He was a faithful and active
lifetime member of the Raymond Church of Christ in Christian Union and
used his carpentry talents to help build the church. He graduated from
Central High School in Columbus and formerly served as a Liberty
Township Trustee. He enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds
and the OSU Buckeyes. He took pride in mowing his grass and his greatest
joy came when surrounded by his family.
He was born May 4, 1917, in Columbus to the late Donald Burnis and
Atlanta Simpkins Bushong. He married Clara Mildred 'Millie' Jackson on
July 31, 1937, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 2005.
Survivors include his son, Donald (Barbara) Bushong of Raymond; his
daughter, Pat (James) Bean of Hilliard; two grandsons, Craig (Amy)
Bushong of Marysville; and Todd Bushong of Cincinnati; three
great-grandchildren, Carrie, Cameron and Madison Bushong; a brother,
Burnis (Thelma) Bushong of Avon Park, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Charlene
(Neil) Hamilton of Oakridge, Tenn. and Rosemary (James) Carney of
Marysville; several nieces and nephews; and his church family.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Church of Christ
in Christian Union. The Revs. Warren Goble and Tom Young will officiate
and burial will take place at Raymond Cemetery. Friends may call from 2
to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Mannasmith Funeral Home in Marysville.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church in care of the funeral

He retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Nov. 9, 1974 after 30 years service, serving at posts in Van Wert, Findlay, Bellefontaine, Kenton, Dayton & Eaton. He also worked for the PUCO transportation division for over 8 years. Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, Dec. 7 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville. Bushong
Dr. Burnis and Thelma Bushong of Avon Park celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary recently with their family and friends. They were married 9 June 1946 in East Liverpool, Ohio and also started their 20-year Latin American ministry that year.
Burnis and Thelma have lived in Avon Park since 1994. They currently reside at the Oaks Village. They have three children, Lois, David, and Robert; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burnis (Burnie) has been past president of the Avon Park Rotary Club and past chairman of the board of Avon Park Camp Meeting. He served several years as Missions chairman at the Community Bible Church and at times supplies the pulpit.
Dr. Bushong is a graduate of Vennard College and Drake University, both in Iowa.
Thelma is also a graduate of Vennard College. In 1977, Burnis received an honorary doctor of divinity degree from Asbury University, Kentucky. He also was an adjunct professor at Taylor University, Indiana. In 1992, Dr. Bushong served as interim president of Vennard College.
The Bushongs served as missionaries on the Texas-Mexico border, in Honduras and in Bolivia.
>From l966 until his retirement in 1992, Burnis was part of the administrative staff of World Gospel Mission in Marion, Ind.
For more than 20 years he was vice president of Field Ministries. He has traveled in more than 60 countries. Thelma served as his secretary and frequently traveled with him.
Burnis is the author of two books published by World Gospel Mission, "The Best of the Story" - miraculous answers to prayer and "Reaching The Unreached Now" - a brief history of World Gospel Mission.

Clara Mildred "Millie" Bushong, 86, of Raymond, died Sunday, Dec. 4,
2005, with her family at her side at Heartland of Marysville after an
extended illness.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was employed with Carney's
Variety Store and Rosemary's Hallmark for many years. She formerly
served as the head cook at Raymond School and had worked at the Raymond
grocery store several years ago.
She was a member and longtime pianist with the Raymond Church of Christ
in Christian Union, where she faithfully attended until entering the
nursing home.
She was a 1937 graduate of Liberty Rural High School and belonged to the
Raymond Country Culture Club. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles
and especially enjoyed time spent with her husband and family.
She was born July 31, 1919, in Raymond, to the late Victor and Mary
Elliott Jackson.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Sumner Bushong, to whom she
was married July 31, 1937, in Columbus; a daughter, Pat (James) Bean of
Hilliard; a son, Donald (Barbara) Bushong of Raymond; two grandsons,
Craig (Amy) Bushong of Marysville, and Todd Bushong of Cincinnati; three
great-grandchildren, Carrie, Cameron and Madison Bushong; two sisters,
Charlene (Neil) Hamilton of Oakridge, Tenn., and Rosemary (James) Carney
of Marysville; a brother-in-law, Burnis (Thelma) Bushong of Avon Park,
Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and her church family.
Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Mannasmith
Funeral Home, Marysville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11
a.m. at the Raymond Church of Christ in Christian Union with the Revs.
Warren Goble and Tom Young officiating. Burial will take place at
Raymond Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Raymond Church of Christ in
Christian Union in care of the funeral home.
