Danny Ray Bushong, 58 of Madison passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital.
Danny was born March 21, 1957 the son of Birdie and Vera Logsdon Bushong in Madison. He was a concrete and masonry finisher formerly working with the Pettit Group in Madison. Danny attended 1st Baptist Church in Madison and enjoyed taking care of his flowers, reading and the love of his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Bushong; daughter, Dannay Fredenburg(Joey) of North Part, FL; sisters, Velma Manning of Danville, IN, Barbara Johnson of Lexington, IN and Rose Wynn of Madison; brothers, Glen Bushong of Brooksburg, IN and Jerry Bushong of Fillmore, IN; 2 granddaughters; step-sons, Derrick Brinson and Dustin Brinson(Amy) of Nabb, IN; 1 step-grandchild. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Emogene and Vera Nell; brothers, Cecil, Herb, Charles and Garlin.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover with burial in New Bethel Cemetery. Austin and his wife Kim all of Madison; daughter, Angie Monday and her husband Robin of Commiskey, IN; step-son, Burnam Wynn III of Madison; sisters, Velma Manning of Danville, IN and Barbara Johnson of Lexington, IN; brothers, Glen Bushong of Brooksburg, IN and Jerry Bushong of Fillmore, IN; grandchildren, T J., Scott, Shawn, Troy, Savanah, Taylor, Robbie, J. Thelma M. (Cline) Bushong, 91, Marion, died at 5:46 Tuesday, 11 November 2014 in Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, Marion, Indiana.
She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Amos and Cora (Stewart) Cline. She married Burnis Bushong on 9 June 1946. He survives.
Christian Ministry was her life. Thelma and Burnis worked with World Gospel Missions as missionaries in Latin American from 1946 to 1966. When Burnis accepted a position in administration with World Gospel Missions in Marion, Indiana, Thelma served as his Administrative Assistant until their retirement in 1992.
Burnis and Thelma were able to travel to more than 60 countries was a part of their work with World Gospel Missions. She was a member of the Churches of Christ and Christian Union.
Thelma enjoyed crafting, puzzles and cooking international foods. She was a gifted hostess and an encourager of others.
In addition to her husband, Thelma is survived by a daughter Lois Bushong, Noblesville, Indiana; Two sons, David (Lisa) Bushong, Bristol, Tennessee and Robert (Peggy) Bushong, Jonesboro, Indiana; Six grandchildren; Seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Saturday, 15 November 2014 from 11 to 1 PM at the funeral home.
