returned to her relatives became the constant associate of Nancy Hanks, her first cousin. It was for this Sarah Shipley Mitchell that Nancy Hanks most likely named her first child, Sarah Lincoln. It is interesting also that Sarah Mitchell who
married John Thompson named one of her daughters, Nancy. A nephew of Sarah Shipley Mitchell was named Tom Shipley Mitchell.

Ann Marie Miller, age 66, passed away peacefully on December 6th in her loving home surrounded by her family in Portland, Michigan. She was born on September 17th, 1951 in St. Johns, Michigan to Winthrop and Agnes Bushong.
Ann grew up in Pewamo, Michigan. She graduated from Pewamo–Westphalia High School in Westphalia, Michigan in 1969. Shortly after high school Ann began working for the Ionia Post Office as a mail carrier and then at the Portland Post Office where she worked for an honorable 37 years.
Ann married Daryl October 4th, 1969 at the United Methodist Church in Pewamo. They then resided in Portland and were happily married for 48 years. Ann was loved by many and enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and supporting her grandkids. Ann was an inspiration to many with her high spirits and unwavering courage.
Ann is survived by her husband Daryl of Portland, Michigan, her two sons; Scott (Brenda) Miller and Chad (Nikki) Miller of Portland, Michigan; her grandchildren Trent and Ryan Miller (Scott and Brenda), Devin and Drew Miller (Chad and Nikki); her sister Janet (Larry) Thelen of Portland; her brothers; Robert (Judy) Bushong of Corunna, John (Linda) Bushong of Grand Ledge, of Rick (Lisa) Bushong of Portland, and her nieces and nephews, her furry friend, Elvis and other relatives.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Winthrop and Agnes Bushong and nephew Brian Thelen.
The family will be greeting friends and family at Lake Funeral Home, 3521 S. State Road, Ionia, Michigan 48846 on December 16th between10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm with a memorial service (celebration of life) at 3pm conducted by her friend Pastor Scott Otis.

Bushong, 91, of Paducah, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at Superior Care Home.
Beverly was born in Woodlawn, IL on November 22, 1926 to Emil and Louetta Gaebe. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Beverly modeled the Christian lifestyle by example and sacrificed her own needs for those of her family and community. After moving to Paducah, Beverly became a longtime and active member of Reidland Christian Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, working in the nursery and being involved in mission work. In addition, she volunteered for Paducah Cooperative Ministry by driving those in need to doctor appointments and on errands. She was also active at Farley Elementary where she read to the students and helped them with multiplication tables. Her family was her greatest joy and hobby of her life. Rare was the time that she missed any event involving her children and grandchildren. She also worked as a legal secretary/office manager for several lawyers throughout the area.
Beverly is survived by her loving family, children, Roger Earl (Patti) Bushong of Normal, IL, Rodney (Debbie) Bushong of Paducah, Luann A (Ronnie) Hollis of Calvert City; grandchildren, Dustin (Savannah) Brown of Benton, Chelsea (Matt) Termeer of Barbados, Austin Brown of Calvert City, Erich Bushong of Dallas, and Cameron (fiancé, Kheeli Ferrel) Brown of Calvert City; three great-grandchildren, Abigail and Samuel Termeer and Ella Kate Brown; and sister-in-law, Sherry Gaebe of Woodlawn, IL.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Earl Raymond Bushong; sister, Henrietta Ferguson; brother, Don Gaebe; brother-in-law, Archie Ferguson; and parents, Emil and Louetta Laney Gaebe.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Zach Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11am Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rebecca L. "Becky" Estes Bushong, age 62, of Brooksburg, Indiana entered this life on April 13, 1955 on an Air Force Base in Lexington, Colorado. She was the loving daughter of the late William and Betty Cherry Estes. She was a 1973 high school graduate in Illinois. She was a loving mother to a son and lived in Bradenton, Florida for twenty years. She married Glen Bushong on September 1, 2007 in Madison, Indiana and has lived in the community since 2001. She worked as a clerk in Johnson's Hometown Market, as a store clerk at Goodwill, and was a case worker at DSI Sandstone. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed caring for her husband, her family and her dogs. Becky died on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Becky will be missed by her loving husband, Glen Bushong of Brooksburg, Indiana; her loving son, Scott Casper and his wife Linda of Madison, Indiana; her step daughter, Tina Shimfessel and her husband, Jack of Brooksburg, Indiana; her step son, Robert Bushong and his wife, Sue of Brooksburg, Indiana; her grandchildren, Hunter, Christian, Raven, Katlynn, and Brett Casper; Megan Robbins (Thomas), Katie Shimfessel (fiancée, Codie), Allison Bushong, and Bryce Bushong; her great grandchildren, Jasmine Hoover, Brynna, Izzabella and Pyper Robbins, and Jaxson Radloff. She was preceded in death by her father, William Estes and her mother, Betty Cherry Estes.
