LEMASTERS, Iola, 91, of W. Thistle Drive, New Martinsville, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 21, 2005.

Iola was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was born on October 7, 1914 in New Martinsville, the daughter of the late Ross and Louise Schrader Bushon.
She was a retired first grade teacher from the Wetzel County schools with over 35 years of service.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of their choir for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, loved to read and attend her clubs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Claude Lemasters.

Survivors include a daughter, Suzy Lunau of Moundsville; a granddaughter, Sarah Lunau of Wheeling; a great grandson, Ethan Wallace of Wheeling; and a sister, Virginia Harbison of New Martinsville.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 12-3 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 59 Benjamin Drive, New Martinsville with Pastor David Roberts officiating.

Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville.

Virginia was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing with several different groups of friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Thaddeus Harbison and one sister: Iola Lemasters.
Survivors include one son: Walter Harbison of Glen Dale; one daughter: Jane Mallon of Atlanta, GA; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a niece: Sue Ann Lunau of Moundsville.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville.

Mildred Marie Spencer was born on 29 August 1929 in Kansas. She and Doyle Franklin Bushong were married. She died on 23 March 2005, at age 75, in Susanville, California.

Her married name was Mildred Marie Bushong. Mildred Marie Spencer was a Waitress. My Mother Mildred Marie Spencer waitress-ed at the Blue Goose Restaurant in Kansas while going to college and my father, Doyle Franklin Bushong was the Chef at the Blue Goose after the war. Mother said she did not care much for Dad at first, but chemistry worked. Now here is the kicker, Ramona Tiben my wife's stepmother also worked at the Blue Goose while going to college. This had to of been 10 years later following my Mother and Father. How shadows of life cross pathes and found out years later.

MILDRED MARIE COLLETT
Mildred Marie Collett was welcomed into this world Aug. 29, 1929, by parents Elzia "Harrison" and Burnetta Spencer, of Larned, Kansas. Mildred resided in Kansas throughout her childhood and early adult years where she married and later had two sons, Noel Bushong, of Standish and Cecil Bushong, of Redding.

Upon leaving Kansas Mildred, late husband Doyle Bushong and sons made their home out west in the town Umatilla, Ore., where they managed a motel. While living in Oregon Mildred made many lifelong friends, friends who grew to love her and her children like their own families.

In 1968 Mildred moved to Susanville, Calif., where she continued to raise her children and began working as a grocery clerk at Eagle Thrifty. Mildred later married Warren E. "Jim" Collett and for many years they owned and operated the Farmers Insurance Company.

During her years in Susanville Mildred was active in the American Legion, Shrines Club, RSVP, Lassen County Children's Fair and volunteered her services for the Best of Broadway. As well as her involvement in the community Mildred enjoyed sewing, cooking, hearing a good joke, phone conversations with family and friends, weekend outings and the beautiful flowers of spring and summer.

On March 23, 2005, Mildred passed away at her residence in Susanville. Although we know she is at peace and in the hands of the Lord, surviving family members will forever miss her. She is survived by her sons Noel Bushong (wife Wanda) and Cecil Bushong, grandchildren Anthony Bushong (wife Stephanie), Eric Bushong, Susan Wright (husband John), Shawna Lindsey, Cassandra White, Jessica Granados (husband Manuel), Penny Goddard (husband Chip), Selena Ulch and Doyle Bushong. great-grandchildren Alesha, Justin and Brett Lindsey, Tyler White, Jonas and Kolby Bushong, Taylor Bushong and soon to be baby Wright and sisters Burnetta Capurro and Fonda Rodgers.

Mildred was in death by her parents, half sisters Eula Smith and Lula Fry, half brother Raymond Spencer, brothers Edsel Ray "Spence" Spencer and E.J. Spencer.

A family viewing was held March 24 at Walton's Colonial Mortuary in Susanville, with interment following. At Mildred's request memorial services will not be held. Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation may do so in Mildred's memory to the contributor's charity of choice.

Doyle Warren Bushong was born on 3 September 1990 in Yuba City, Sutter County, California. He died on 3 August 2009, at age 18, in Chico, Butte County, California.

DOYLE WARREN BUSHONG

Doyle Warren Bushong, born Sept. 3, 1990 in Yuba City, Calif. He was
tragically taken from us in an automobile accident on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, in
Chico, Calif.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ignacio “Idaho” and
Marceline Urrutia, paternal grandparents Doyle F. Bushong and Jim and Mildred
Collett.

Doyle is survived by his mother Renee Jones and father Cecil Bushong,
stepfather Ron Jones and stepmother Eileen Bushong.

He was also survived by his sisters Shawna, Cassandra, Jessica, Penny,
Darcy, and Candice; brothers John, Scott, and Jared; aunts and uncles Mary
Jane Harriet, Joey Urrutia, Robert Urrutia, Noel Bushong, and Linda Endrizzi;
the love of his life Erika Carson and “man’s best friends” Hunter.

Doyle graduated in June 2009, from Plumas Charter School and was granted a
full scholarship to Butte College to study in business management and
heavy equipment operations.

He was loved by all his cousins Danielle, Brandon, Jennifer, Triston,
Casey, Jessy, Kendall, Jo Lea, Luke, Kayden, Anthony, Eric, Susan; and nieces
and nephews Justin, Alesha, Brett, Tyler, Savannah, Baby Max, Rylee, Colton,
Avery, Sawyer, and Logan.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on
Monday, Aug. 10, 2009. Doyle was laid to rest at Diamond Crest Cemetery in
Johnstonville, Calif. next to his beloved grandparents.

Doyle was loved by all his family, friends and extended family members. He
was an avid outdoorsman and lived each day to the fullest. He was a
genuine friend to everyone. In his very short life on earth, he touched many
lives and will continue to guide everyone through our sorrow and loss, and live
in all of our hearts and memories forever.

Deadly Monday in north valley: Four die in three crashes

Monday was an unusually deadly day on north state roads, with four people
dying in three accidents in Butte and Tehama counties.
The carnage continued Tuesday with a pair of serious — though not fatal —
accidents.
An 18-year-old Chico man was pronounced dead at Enloe Medical Center in
Chico Monday following a 7 p.m. crash on River Road, south of Highway 32.
Alcohol use is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
The victim, identified as Doyle Bushong, was a passenger in a black 2004
Dodge Neon driven by Chico resident Travis Reinsel, 18.
The California Highway Patrol said Reinsel was driving north on River Road
when he lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason.
It traveled into a dirt and gravel shoulder as Reinsel apparently attempted
to steer back onto the pavement.
The car rotated counterclockwise, then traveled back across the roadway and
struck a large tree on the west shoulder.
The tree hit directly on the passengerside door.
Bushong was trapped inside the crushed vehicle and could only be removed
after a 30-minute extrication process in which half of the vehicle had to be
cut away.
The CHP said both men were wearing seat belts.
Reinsel was able to get out of the car on his own. He was placed under
arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, and released for transport
to Enloe.
Bushong was a mini stock car racer from Lassen County, who friends said
recently moved to Chico to go to school. He owned a vehicle he purchased from
the Kennemore racing team and frequently competed in a beginners division
at the Diamond Mountain Speedway near Susanville.
Terry Kennemore said he doesn't believe Bushong intended to race in the
Chico area.
Anyone with information about the fatal crash is asked to call the Chico
office of the CHP at 879-1999.

Teresa Agnes Roohms was born on 4 April 1911 in Kansas. She and Haas Franklin Bushong were married on 23 December 1939 in Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas. She died on 21 March 1996, at age 84. She was buried in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. Johns, Stafford County, Kansas.
