Joseph along with his brother Jacob were made Wards of Emanuel Windle who lived in the Friedens neighborhood of Mount Olive. Joseph Snapp was confirmed at Friedens Reformed Church at Mount Olive 12 November 1825. His wife Margaret Bushong was a member of this congregation.
