MyHeritage added from William Smale. WILLA BUSHONG HAYES ’33 died November 25, 2008, at the age of 101. Oklahoma-born and a graduate of Seattle Pacific High School in 1924, she married fellow student ROBERT HAYES ’33 in 1925, with the vows administered by her uncle. Following their graduation from Seattle Pacific College, the Hayes’ began their ministry with the Columbia River Conference of the Free Methodist Church. Bob was a founder of a Christian camp and conference center and an Army chaplain; Willa taught school. Her first assignment was a one-room school house for the first eight grades, a job that paid an additional $5 a month for janitorial work. She taught in Idaho and Oregon, and in schools in Germany, Japan, and Pakistan. Sunday school teaching was her habit, as was a Bible study in her home for many years. Willa is survived by three children, including daughter MARILYN HAYES WELLS ’49 and son-in-law, RAYMOND WELLS ’46, a professor of philosophy at Seattle Pacific for 26 years (1967–93), as well as ROBERT HAYES ’64. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, including JOEL MOOERS ’09 and ISAAC MOOERS, a senior; and two great-great-grandchildren.

HELEN R. BUSHONG
Helen R. Bushong, 91, passed away peacefully on 16 September 2013, formerly of Chevy Chase, Maryland.
Born 19 December 1921, in Waxahachie, Texas, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacquelin Bushong.
Helen is survived by a son, Richard and his wife, Bonnie; three grandchildren, Susan, of Nashville, Tennessee, Mark, Lieutenant in the USMC currently stationed in Oklahoma, and Charles, of Maryland.

James Langston “Bubba” Bushong, 87, of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at his home with family by his side.
Jim was born March 6, 1931, at Metcalf County, Kentucky, to Jesse and Mary (McCord) Bushong. On March 3, 1951, Jim married Eva (Crews) Bushong.
After graduating from Summer Shade High School, Jim served his country as a staff seargent in the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the military, Jim worked for RR Donnelley & Sons in Crawfordsville for 38 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion and served as a trustee for the B.P.O.E.
Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, relaxing at the lake, and following his beloved Red Sox and Indiana Hoosiers.
Surviving, along with his wife Eva of 67 years, are children, Karen Miller of Crawfordsville, Michael (Laura) Bushong of Greenwood and Tim (Sharon) Bushong of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Wendell Bushong of Bemidji, Minnesota, and Roy (Rita) Bushong of Crawfordsville, and special care giver Mandie Wills of Crawfordsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Bushong.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, with services at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be at the Indian Creek Cemetery. James Langston “Bubba” Bushong
