Emily graduated from McGuffey High School in 1951. She retired from Kenton City Schools as a secretary at the Kenton Middle School. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, the Kenton Women of the Moose Lodge #428, the Kenton Elks Lodge #157, and she belonged to several bridge card clubs. Funeral services for Emily Jean Comstock will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. LIMA -- Funeral services for Findlay native Max E. Bushong, 56, of Li ma, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles & Son s-Laman Funeral Homes, Lima, the Rev. William Bushong officiating. Buri al will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral ho me.
Mr. Bushong died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayt on.
He was born Feb. 18, 1934 in Findlay to Lester and Edith (Decker) Bus hong.
Surviving are a son, Jerry E., of Lima; a daughter, Cindy Sellers, El ida; three grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Lee of Milwaukee, Wis.; Dav id D., of Lima; and two sisters, Reta Marvin and Deborah Hartsock, bo th of Findlay.
Mr. Bushong was a welder at General Dynamics, Lima. He was a memb er of the National Rifle Association, Ohio Gun Collectors Association, Li ma Fast Draw Club and Fort Amanda Lodge 706, F & AM. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served during the Korean War. Mr. Bushong also was named t he fastest gun in Ohio in 1959 and 1961.

Mr. Bushong died July 23 of a heart attack at his residence. The bo dy was cremated. A memorial stone will be placed in Arlington Cemete ry at a later date.

Rex E. Babcock, 51, of Findlay, OH went home to be with the Lord at 2:50 a.m., Friday, 8 March 2013, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born on 25 April 1961 to Ned F. Babcock Sr. and Reta D. (Bushong) Marvin in Findlay, OH. He married Marjorie J. Shue on 29 June 1991 and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Reta Marvin of Sneads, FL; one son, Rex Babcock II of Findlay and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ned F. Babcock, Sr. and his brother, Ned Babcock, Jr. Rex was a semi-truck owner/operator. He was a member of the Upper Room Church of God. Rex was an avid motorcycle rider and spent many hours riding his Harley ElectraGlide and his 1999 Indian Chief. He had a generous heart and would always donate his time and money to various motorcycle ride charities. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 6 April 2013 at the Upper Room Church of God, Findlay. Visitation will be held one hour (10:00-11:00 a.m.) prior to the service. Bishop Terry McBeath will officiate and burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens Cemetery, east of Findlay. Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, Ohio in charge. Bonnie J. Kanthak, 74, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Heartland of Waterville.

Bonnie worked for the former Montgomery Ward Department Store for many years.

She always enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with them and her friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 2001.

She is survived by sons, David (Cathy) Kautz, Kenneth (Amy) Kautz; four grandchildren; her mother, Wilma Theiss; sister, Alice (Dave) Warner and brother, Jim Bushong.

Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, on Monday, January 18th, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Russ Merrin Officiating. Interment will follow in Tontogany Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund.
