Ruth B. Milley was born on 19 October 1916 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She and Jay Warren Bushong were married. She died on 11 March 2011, at age 94, in Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was buried in Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Ruth M. Bushong Ely, formerly of Lancaster, passed away at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown on Friday, March 11, 2011. She was born October 19, 1916, the daughter of the late Harry and Jennie Milley. She was the wife of the late Jay Bushong to whom she was married for over 31 years and the late John Ely with whom she shared 7 years until his death in 1990.

Ruth was employed by American Seed Company during World War II and again after Jay's death. She and Jay had spent many happy hours in the company of their large number of friends dancing and playing cards. With John, she traveled throughout the United States and sailed the high seas, including a trans-Atlantic cruise on the QE II, and she gave him loving care during his last illness.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara, wife of John Graeter, and two grandsons, Chris Graeter, husband of Julie Colville, Fort Collins, Colorado, and Tim Graeter, husband of Rachel Cantwell, Kettering, Ohio, and granddaughters Claire, Lindsey, Emily, Audrey and Hannah, along with five sisters, Kathleen Milley, Mary Kittinger, Catherine (Kitty) Guinter and Sylvia Erisman, all of Lancaster, and by Margaret Milley of New Mexico, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She also leaves a stepson, Albert Ely and his wife Mary Jane, of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and their children John, David and Megan and six great-grandchildren. Ruth's brothers, Charles, Richard and Robert Milley, predeceased her.

The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the staff and employees of Masonic Village, especially in the Lafayette East neighborhood, for the kindness and love they extended to Ruth during the time she was with them.

A Memorial Service will take place Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11 AM, with Chaplain Timothy A. Nickel officiating, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. Ruth M. Bushong Ely, formerly of Lancaster, passed away at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown on Friday, March 11, 2011. She was born October 19, 1916, the daughter of the late Harry and Jennie Milley. She was the wife of the late Jay Bushong to whom she was married for over 31 years and the late John Ely with whom she shared 7 years until his death in 1990.

Ruth was employed by American Seed Company during World War II and again after Jay's death. She and Jay had spent many happy hours in the company of their large number of friends dancing and playing cards. Mr. Arlen Charles Hervey of Trumann, Ark. died Friday, September 14, 2012, at Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree, Ark., at the age of 95 years 1 month and 11 days. He was born on Friday, August 3, 1917 in Cardwell, Mo., to the late Jessie and Lettie Coleman Hervey. Mr. Hervey lived in Trumann for the past 17 years, and was a retired factory worker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gracie Hervey in 1996, his second wife, Alberta Hervey in 2007, one step-son, William Bushong Jr., two brothers, three sisters, two step-brothers, one step sister and was the son of the late Jessie and Lettie Coleman Hervey. Survivors include a step-daughter, Louise Lane of Trumann, one stepson, Carlee Bushong Sr. of Greenbrier, Ar.; one brother, Sonny Hervey of Arkansas, Niece Brenda Bradley of Van Alstyne, Tx. 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Pete Clem for over 60 years.

Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Bro. Paul Mize officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.

Pallbearers will be David Thompson, Donny Fortner, Wayne Bradley, Paul Bushong and Andrew Thompson.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; six daughters, Tracy Fortner and Shannon Meeks, both of Greenbrier, Nancy Yarrington, Cathy Thompson, both of Michigan, Sandra Gomez of California and Connie Bushong of Arizona; six sons, Paul, Donnie and Ronnie, all of Conway, William Bushong III and Vincent, both of California, and Johnny of Missouri; a step-father, Arlen Hervey of Trumann; a sister, Louise Lane of Trumann; a brother, Carlee Bushong of Greenbrier; 30 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
