the cremains was at the IOOF Cemetery in Indianola. Mrs. Bushong was born in
Milo and had lived in Carlisle 20 years before moving to Indianola last year.
She was a homemaker and had been a clerk She enjoyed her dogs and playing

Mary Margaret Bushong, 92, of 2625 Fawn Lane, Zanesville, died at 4:39 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, at her home.

She was born July 6, 1911, in West Mansfield. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and also attended Rolling Plains United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Bliss Business College and was formerly employed as the church secretary at First United Methodist Church for several years. She was active in the Couples Sunday School Class and served as an officer in the local and state Parent Teacher Association.

She is survived by one son, Gerald E. Bushong of Zanesville; two daughters, Deborah (Larry) Lapp and Susan (Larry) Stall, both of Zanesville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Bushong; her parents, Benjamin Harrison Powers and Minnie Ilah Clapsaddle Powers Watts; three brothers, Max, Charles and Bill Powers; one daughter, Margaret Ann; and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive in White Cottage, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ruby Hill and the Rev. Brian Law officiating. Burial will be at North Greenfield Cemetery in West Mansfield.

Charlotte Ann Bushong, 92, DuBois, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Christ the King Manor.

Born January 15, 1927, in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. Walford and Myrtle (Sawtelle) Hettish-Walford.

On April 6, 1956, she married Edgar B. Fritts. He preceded her in death in July 1980. On October 1, 1983, she married Charles Bushong. He preceded her in death in June 2006.

Charlotte graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie, PA. She was employed by Baltimore Life for 33 years as an office manager before her retirement. Charlotte was a member of Cascade Methodist Church in Erie, PA and a charter member of the Treasure Lake Church in DuBois.

Charlotte is survived by her stepson, Robert Bushong, California, and her step-grandson, Gregory Bushong. She was the last member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and sister, Katherine Hettish-Rusterholt.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at the Treasure Lake Church in DuBois. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Dick Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Erie, PA. Arrangements are under the direction of Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc.

On Tuesday, May 26, Kenneth Jay Bushong, Sr., 74 of York Township, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after his courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Snyder) Bushong, and celebrated 51 years of marriage on May 16, 2015.

Mr. Bushong was born in Lancaster on July 27, 1940 and was the son of the late Jacob Ritter and Ethel Irene (Miller) Bushong.

He was a 1958 graduate of Manheim Central High School and received an Associate’s degree from Penn State University. He was a member of the 254th ordinance army reserves. Kenneth retired from IDG, formerly Shearer Industrial Supplies, after 38 years of service. Following his retirement he continued to work part time for Apple Nissan in York. He was a long time member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, and was very active in the church; serving on two building committees, the board of trustees and the administrative counsel. He was also a head usher for many years and sang in the church choir. One of Kenneth’s favorite hobbies was attending public sales. Many of the items he bought were donated by him to the church work camps, which he enjoyed attending. He also enjoyed photography, camping, traveling and collecting advertising pens and pencils.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Kenneth J. Bushong, II of York and Pamela K. Reth and her husband Myron P. of Lancaster and their children, Austin P. and Mark A. Reth. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Stoner and her husband Larry of Lititz. A viewing will be held at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 2523 Pine Grove Rd. on Friday, May 29 from 6-8 PM. and again on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 AM with a funeral service to honor Ken’s life beginning at 10:00 AM, Pastor Joel Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Kenneth’s name be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church Capital Campaign Fund, 2523 Pine Grove Rd. York, PA 17403 or to your favorite charity.

Guy S. Snyder, 85, died of natural causes this morning at his home, 415 S. Locust Street, Lititz.
He was the husband of MYRTLE BUSHONG Snyder. They were married 37 years last October. He had been married to Dorothy E. Wilson Snyder, who died in 1953.
Snyder retired in 1976 after working for Singing Needles of Leola.
He was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Lititz, where he was a former church officer.
Snyder was also an original board member for Old Zion Church of Brickerville.
Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late Jacob B. and Fannie N. Stauffer Snyder.
He is survived by his wife and two sisters, Alma S. and Alice S., both of Lititz.

great-grandson. Arthur William Bushong III, 73, of Hallandale Beach Florida formerly of Lititz passed away on April 9th at Aventura Hospital from a brief illness. Bill was the son of the late Arthur William, Jr. and Nancy (Steffy) Bushong Good Hess. He was the loving husband of Carol Ann (Shreiner) Bushong with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Bill, also known as "Bush" was born on November 19, 1946 and attended Warwick High School. He became an Insurance Broker in his father's business, Multiple Brokers for 25 years selling Auto and Homeowners Insurance. After retiring from Insurance he was a Shift Manager at Burger King in Lititz for 10 years.

He played basketball in high school for Warwick who won the Lancaster County Championship in the 1963/1964 season and went 19-0 in league play. He coached baseball from Little League up to the High School level for 15 years. He was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks and Ohio State football. He was a season ticket holder to the Baltimore Colts for many years and part owner of several Thoroughbred horses. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events (Ice Hockey, Football, Baseball, Basketball and Volleyball) and keeping their stats for each game. Bill enjoyed live rock music as well as spinning his favorite albums and cd's in his family room.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son, Keith (Kathy) Lancaster and three grandchildren, Kyle (Companion Casey Shover) Mechanicsburg, Kevin (Companion August Mason) Hanover, and Katie at home. In addition he had one brother, James (Sally) Columbia and two sisters, Patricia Darras (Bill) Leola, and Barbara Bushong (Bill Farrell) of Los Alamos, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews.

Bill will be remembered and greatly missed by his family, friends and his cat Cashmere.

Arthur William Bushong III, 73, of Hallandale Beach Florida formerly of Lititz passed away on April 9th at Aventura Hospital from a brief illness. Bill was the son of the late Arthur William, Jr. and Nancy (Steffy) Bushong Good Hess. He was the loving husband of Carol Ann (Shreiner) Bushong with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Bill, also known as "Bush" was born on November 19, 1946 and attended Warwick High School. He became an Insurance Broker in his father's business, Multiple Brokers for 25 years selling Auto and Homeowners Insurance. After retiring from Insurance he was a Shift Manager at Burger King in Lititz for 10 years.

He played basketball in high school for Warwick who won the Lancaster County Championship in the 1963/1964 season and went 19-0 in league play. He coached baseball from Little League up to the High School level for 15 years. He was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks and Ohio State football.
