CLARK BERRIER, CIVIC LEADER, 82

Clark G. Berrier, 82, a former mayor of Mount Joy, died Wednesday evening at Lancaster General Hospital after an illness of three weeks.
A resident of 465 Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy, he was the husband of Mildred BUSHONG Berrier, who died in 1986.
Born in Donegal Township, he was a son of the late James M. and Elizabeth Keck Berrier. He had been a resident of Mount Joy since 1939.
Berrier was named Mayor of Mount Joy in 1972 to fill the unexpired term of a mayor who resigned. He also served on Mount Joy Borough Council for 10 years.
A Boy Scout leader, he taught first aid during World War II.
Berrier was employed by United Telephone of Pennsylvania as a lineman, retiring as wire chief in 1972 after 42 years of service.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Mount Joy, where he served as financial secretary, Sunday school teacher, official board president and steward board president.
He was a member of Casiphia Lodge 551, Free and Accepted Masons, Mount Joy.
Berrier graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1929.
He is survived by two sons, Clark G. Jr. of Conestoga and V. Ralph of Mount Joy; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; three brothers, Mark and George, both of Elizabethtown, and Dale of Milton Grove; and two sisters, Dorothy, wife of Albert Drace of Elizabethtown, and Mary, wife of David Heistand of Milton Grove. Harry Lee Morgan, 58, of 307 E. Front Street, Lititz, died Tuesday at home after a brief illness.
He was a truck driver for yellow Freight Company for the past 25 years and was previously employed as a mechanic at the Morgan Paper Mill in Lititz for 10 years.
Morgan attended the Lititz Church of the Brethren.
He enjoyed cooking.
He was the husband of Anna Mae Cassel Morgan, to whom he was married 39 years.
Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of Carolyn Nixdorf Morgan of Brickerville and the late William H. Morgan Jr.
