Buckwalter.- Mary (Neff) Buckwalter was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., March 9, 1856; died Oct. 30, 1929, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Girvin, near Intercourse, Pa.; aged 73 y. 7 m. 21 d. She had been at the hospital for nineteen days. Death came very unexpectedly, since she was much improved when brought home. She is survived by one son and four daughters (Mrs. Isaac Girvin, Mrs. Frank Hershey, Mrs. Joseph Benner, Ada, and Menno). Her husband and three children preceded her in death. She was a member of the Mennonite Church and an active member of the Sunday school class for many years. Her kind and loving disposition won for her many friends. She was one who was very much interested in her children and grandchildren and always had a smile for every one she met. During her sickness she was patiently waiting for the Lord to call her home. Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Jacob Mellinger at the house and by Bro. A. L. Martin at Hershey's Church. Text, Job 16:22.

Buckwalter.--Mahlon Buckwalter was born April 17, 1852; died at his home in Intercourse, Pa., March 31, 1927; aged 74 y. 11 m. 14 d. He was united in marriage to Mary Neff, Nov., 1876. He was a member of the Mennonite Church for many years, and was a faithful member until death. He was a very active worker in Sunday school, being superintendent for a number of years and deeply concerned about the church and its welfare. Just one week before his burial he was at church and took part in Sunday school. Although his step was feeble, he thought it would do him good to go. The following evening he was afflicted and soon became unconscious and remained so until the Lord called him home. He was of a kind and loving disposition and had a smile for all. Funeral services were held April 3 from the late home and at Hershey's Church. Bros. Christian Brackbill and Abram Martin conducted the services. Text, I Cor. 15:22, 23. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. A large concourse of people came to pay their last respect.
