She enjoyed raising her children, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking, sewing and decorating her house to make it a beautiful home. She enjoyed the lakes of northern Michigan, the shores of sunny Florida and various islands of the Caribbean. She loved international travel to Asia, Europe and Latin America.
She is survived by children: Karen (Richard) Zmierski, Ronald (Beth) Wells, Russell (Ann) Bushong, Randall (Angela) Bushong, Michelle Bushong; stepdaughters Renee Bushong Kelley and Trudy Peitsch.
Grandchildren: Kristina (Mike) Grys, Caroline (Nick) Seymour, Brittany Bushong, Jessica (Patrick) Bauer, Ryan Zmierski, Tyler Bisel, Russell A. (Vanessa) Bushong, Mono Bushong, Mary Bushong.
Great-grandchildren: Emily, Logan, Mason, Addison, Madeline, McKenzie, Jackson, Natalie, Emily, Talia and Hailey.
Siblings: Frank McQueen, Victor McQueen, William Brouillet and Rosemarie Brouillet.
She was predeceased by husband Russell Bushong, daughter Rhonda Wells, stepdaughter Wendy Bushong Koester and siblings Ida McQueen, Leo McQueen, Betty McQueen Slater, Daniel McQueen, Dennis Plamp and Douglas Plamp.
A memorial service will be held in Bay City, MI in July 2022. Inurnment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hale, MI. Details to follow.

Stella passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Bay Valley House in Bay City Michigan on, June 5, 2015 at the age of 96.
She was born in Pinconning Michigan on November 5, 1918 to the late George and Mary (Jeknak) Rash.
She married William Arthur Bushong in Caro Michigan on June 12, 1937 and he predeceased her on May 2, 2014.
Her life was raising her children and loving her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren.
She was employed at Saginaw Processing for 30 years and was a member of Ames United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband, visiting family, gardening, and traveling. Another favorite activity was making and taking to others, apple pies and spaghetti.
She is survived by her children: Virginia M. Talaga and Neil Blackmore of Flushing MI, Gerald W. (Lorna) Bushong of Essexville MI, Betty A. (Gerald) Kaczmarezyk of Bay City MI, Ruby L. (Rudy) Schultz of Merritt Island FL, Arthur W. (Patricia) Bushong of Bay City MI; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Richard Bushong, daughter Jeanette Hansen, grandson, William Schultz; sisters, Sophie Senopole, Victoria Senopole, Francis Senopole, Bertha Melenchenko, Julie Sokolowski; brother Joseph Pentowski.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State St., Saginaw MI, on Tuesday, June 16 , 2015. The family will be present at the church to receive friends prior to the service from 11 AM – 12 Noon . Pastor Scott Lindenburg will officiate.
The family would like to thank Karen and her staff at Bay Valley House and the Hometown Hospice staff for their care and comfort.

Richard, age 77, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 at Mid-Michigan
Regional Hospital in Midland with his loving family at his side. He was born
November 25, 1930 in Bay City to the late Frank and Cecelia (Derdowski) Talaga. He
married Virginia M. Bushong in Bay City on November 26, 1976 and she
survives him. Chalky was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his country
with the US Army. During his military time he played music with the Band
Training Unit. He was the Sales Manager for many years with Liberty Homes and a
General Contractor and Real Estate Broker. He also, owned and operated Bishops
Inn and Talaga Construction. Chalky was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic
Church, Elks Lodge, PLAV, Past President of the St. Stan's AC and played
saxophone with the Four Horsemen for many years. He enjoyed boating, golf, and
baseball. Chalky was "the best third basemen out of Bay City", as reported by
Clarence Snover of the Bay City Times years ago.
Surviving besides his wife, Virginia, are thirteen children; Mike (Lisa)
Talaga, Novi, Barry Talaga, Bay City, Mark (Julie) Talaga, Florida, Joanie
(James) Van Wormer, Bay City, Judy Talaga, Florida, Karen Talaga, Bay City,
Theresa (Tom) Joles, Kentucky, Mary (Bob) Bell, Glennie, MI, Tammy Solinski, Texas,
Kimberly (Mike) Gerhardt, Kaw-kawlin, Julie (Rick) Sautter, Essexville,
Sherri (Kurt) Colberg, Essexville, and Karen (Mike) Barry, Bay City, twenty-nine
grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a brother, Robert Talaga.
Also, surviving are his mother and father in-law, Stella and William Bushong;
two brothers-in-law; Jerry (Lorna) Bushong, Art Bushong and two sister
s-in-law, Betty (Jerry) Kaczmarczyk and Ruby (Rudy) Schultz. Chalky was predeceased
by two brothers, Eugene and Gerald Talaga.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10:00am
from St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Fr. Gerald Balwinski and Sr. Virginia
Scally, S.N.D. will celebrate the funeral rites and entombment will follow in
Calvary Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday
from 1:00 to 9:00pm and at church Wednesday after 9:00am. A Parish Vigil
Service for Chalky will be held Tuesday at 7:00pm from the funeral home. Those
planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the
American Cancer Society or Multiple Sclerosis.

short battle with cancer. She went to meet her Lord Jesus Christ, and will be reunited
with her parents, John and Augusta (Gregus) Horny; sisters, Agnes and Mary Ann
(Horny) Fordos; and brother, Jimmy Horny. She was born September 28, 1945 in
Saginaw. She had been employed by the U.S. Post Office in both Hemlock and Bay City
as a rural mail carrier for 27 years before retiring in 2000. Tobi was a very active
volunteer in the Bay City community; a member of St. Patrick's Parade Association;
Fireworks Festival charter member; a lifetime member of the AmVets Post No. 22. Tobi
was a host parent to over 97 foreign exchange students and was the first recipient of the
Princess Wenona Award for volunteerism in 1985. She also was a life member of the
Scotch Picnic Society in Fremont Township and she was Secretary of the Rose Island
Association in Bay Port. Tobi made her mark on Bay City by serving as the 3rd Ward
City Commissioner and running for mayor. She made a mark on our hearts and lives
forever by loving and giving of herself continuously and unselfishly. Tobi is survived by
the highlights of her life, her children, Troy Bushong and his wife, Carolyn, of Comstock
Park; Tricia Rutherford and her husband, Scott, of Bay City; four precious grandchildren,
Jarrod and Gabriel Bushong and Aaron and Trinity Rutherford; also her wonderful
siblings and families, John "Sonny" and Sharon Horny, of Sebewaing, Virginia Siler, of
Merrill, Barbara Lewandowski, of Bay City, Stephen James and Diana Horny, of
Saginaw; RoseAnn and Larry Delemeester, of St. Charles, Patricia and Fred Hoewe, of
Freeland, Betty and Mike McGee, of Sebewaing, Joan Duran, Robert Horny and Don
Horny, all of Hemlock; hundreds of nieces and nephews and thousands of neighbors and
friends. Tobi left these parting words: "If I have touched your life in any way and you
have touched mine by loving me back, than I have completed the circle of life, and I
thank you. I love you all and am waiting until we meet again." A Mass of Christian
Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2005, at Holy Family Catholic
Church in Sebewaing. Fr. John Weis and Fr. Jim Bessert will officiate with burial in the
church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday
at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until
the time of service on Friday at the church.
