Herbert Cole, Jr., World War II Veteran, 91, was the son of the late Herbert Cole, Sr. and Grace Cole. Herbert had four siblings; Joe, Margaret, Dorothy and Mary all of whom predeceased him

In 1942, Herbert enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served on the U.S.S. Vincennes. Herbert worked as a crane operator for the Local 77 Operating Engineers for 50 years. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. After his military service he married his late wife of 52 years, Catherine Amanda Cole who predeceased him in 1998. They had two sons and a daughter.

Predeceased by his wife and daughter Bonnie. Herbert is survived by his sons, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.

Herbert was buried with military honors at Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield Echols Funeral Home.
