LIMA — Violet G. Gratz, 88, died at 6:25 p.m. Sept. 3, 2012, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Service Community.
She was born July 21, 1924, in Lima to Clarence F. and Hilda M. Klopfleisch Bushong, who preceded her in death. She married Earl F. Hardesty, who died in May 1955. On Dec. 16, 1961, she married Russell E. Gratz, who died May 25, 2011.
Mrs. Gratz was a licensed cosmetologist and had also worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, cross-stitching, cooking and traveling. She loved her family and being with all of them.
Survivors include a son, Roger (Joan) Hardesty, of Lima; nine grandchildren, Cindy (Jim) Liening, Tracy Poe, Glen Hardesty, Roger Hardesty Jr., Mike (Tracy) Hardesty, Brad Hardesty, Michelle Hardesty, Sherry (Mike) Slone and Tracy (Byron) Phillips; and 18 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, E. Frank Hardesty; a grandson, Greg Hardesty; and a sister, Jane Fiedler.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Nicholas B. Druley was born in Wayne county, Ind., Oct. 16, 1850, and departed this life March 16, 1927, aged 76 years and 5 months. He was married to Mary A. Marshall Oct. 22, 1872, who died Feb. 14, 1888. To their union were born four children---Dennis Druley of Dryden, N.Y.; Hilbert L. Druley and Lewis N. Druley of Gladwin, Dr. G. N. Druley of Kokomo, Ind. He came to Gladwin in 1907 where he has since lived.

JOHN W. SHEARS
John W. Shears, 59, of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1997 at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Midland after a long illness.
Born Sept. 21, 1937 in Gladwin, he had previously lived in Chicago, Il l. He had been employed by Johnstrud Trucking, Iowa, retiring in 1996 after 4 years. John married the former Rosalee Hughes, Feb. 2, 1958 in Vermillion, S.D.
Surviving are four sons, Skip of Gladwin, Scott and Shane of Iowa Falls, I owa, and Shawn and wife Carnelia of Wichita, Kan.; five brothers, three sisters, three grandchildren, Skyler, Shawnand Christina Shears.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel with Rev. Ed Abbott officiating. Gladwin County Record dated 09-24/1997 Column - 3 Page - 2

W. Dale Seaver, Owosso Michigan, formerly of Freeland, slipped out of this world and into the hands of his maker on Saturday, February 6, 2010 around 2:00 p.m. at Owosso Memorial Hospital.

Wayman Dale, was born August 4, 1933 in Ann Arbor, MI to Leroy Oscar Seaver and Doris Marjorie (Aspin) Seaver Burgoyne.
Both have predeceased him.

Dale graduated from Aurthur Hill High School in 1951. He was inducted into the U.S. Army 30th June 1954 and was transferred to inactive RESERVE duty on 30th June 1956, then discharged 31st May 1962. In the Army he developed his love of photography, working in dark rooms and developing his own pictures.

Dale loved genealogy and photography, both gave him many hours of pleasure and learning. He loved camping, canoeing, deer hunting, and his work with the Gas Tractor Show of Oakley.

Dale leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife of 37 years, Vivian (Hanthorn) Seaver of Owosso, MI.
and her three sons; Greg, Kim and Cally Hendrick and their wives, children and grand-children.

Dale leaves three brothers, Gerald (Betty) Seaver, and James Seaver, both of Freeland and Robert Seaver of Saginaw.
He was predeceased by two sisters-in-law; Marilyn (wife of Jim) and Saundra (wife of Bob) Seaver.

Dale leaves two daughters, Bonita (Jerry) Rankey of Munger, and Jacqueline Munger of Freeland.

He leaves 4 grand children; Jamie Robishaw Sr. , Lindsay (Bill) Harris, Jessica Munger, and Casey Glazier.
He also leaves 5 great grand children; Jamie Lee II and Jessie Jay, Skyler Rose, Kennison Debrielle, and Owen Marc.

He leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews
and his one Uncle, Tom Aspin.

His daughters wish him Gods Peace & Mercy.
