Frank Roosevelt Bushong, 69, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2014. He was born on August 25, 1945, in Temple, Texas, to James R. Bushong and Leona A. Pringle Bushong. He was raised in Texas and Louisiana, and he graduated from high school in Leesville, Louisiana. He married Christine Elizabeth Moore on August 27, 1965.

Frank proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service, he attended and graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation for 33 years, retiring as the Director of Technology Architecture, Design, and Implementation.

Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Blanco; a second degree black belt in the American Society of Karate; a Life Member of Texas Exes; and a board member of the Texas State Employees Golf Association. Frank's passions were his faith, family, golf, reading, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Bushong of Round Rock; daughters, Michelle Bushong-Steinmetz and husband Bron of Gilbert, Arizona; and Sara Austin and husband Cliff of Leander; grandchildren, Travis Austin, Riley Steinmetz, and Roman Steinmetz; sister, Blanche Cowan and husband Prentice of San Antonio; brother, Stanley Bushong and wife Bobbie of Sinton; Sister Patricia Pulliam and husband Bill of North Carolina; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Moore and wife Carolyn of Blanco and Dennis Moore and wife Kelly of Blanco; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Leona P. Bushong, and father, James R. Bushong; and his mother-in-law, Martha Moore Bates, and father-in-law, Maurice W. Moore.

The family will receive friends with funeral services at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 Whitestone Boulevard, Cedar Park, Texas. Graveside services will be at the Blanco Cemetery, Blanco, Texas.

LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Patricia Hoffpauir Roach, 76, of Onalaska were held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Dr. Don Willis and the Rev. Dale Snell officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska. Pallbearers were John Rozell, Jerry Bradford, Tom Martin, John Martin, Mike Ladner and Donald Roach. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Hamaker, Cliff Cecil, Wayne Bolton, Calvin Small, Bill McGregor and Floyd Schoonover. Mrs. Roach was born on June 25, 1935 in Port Arthur, to Kahn Wise Hoffpauir and Frances Adella Bushong Hoffpauir. She died on April 12, 2012 in Onalaska. She was a graduate of Lon Morris College and Lamar University. Patricia married Glenn Roach in the First Methodist Church in Port Arthur on Sept. 3, 1955. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Onalaska and sang in the choir. Patricia held several offices at the Onalaska First United Methodist Church and loved to plan trips. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Onalaska, 50-year member of Beta Sigma PHI Sorority in Pasadena and Livingston, a member of the Buncos Group, AARP of Onalaska and helped at the Senior Citizen Center of Onalaska. She also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston and was a “Bell Ringer.” Patricia taught school in Pasadena ISD for 25 years. She loved sports and outdoor activities and especially enjoyed watching her husband, children and grandchildren play basketball and other sports. She was known as someone who was always willing to help others and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her beloved family. Patricia was uplifted by the many supportive friends throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis Hoffpauir and sister, Cora Whitsel. Patricia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Glenn Roach of Onalaska; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Gary Johnson of Gatesville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Joan Roach of Pasadena; sister and brother-in-law, Libby and George Conant of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren, Garrett Johnson, Glynna Johnson, Alex Roach and Hunter Roach; sister-in-law, Doris Roach of Crosby; nephew, Donald Roach of Spring Branch and niece, Janet Ladner of Crosby. James Stanley Bushong, 82, passed away on November 17, 2014. He was born in Sinton, Texas on December 11, 1931 to Ted and Barbara (Hunt) Bushong. Stanley was a Sinton High School graduate. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1949 to 1953. Stanley married the love of his life, Alta Faye “Bobbie” Berry, on July 18, 1952. He farmed and ranched in the Sinton area. Stanley loved the Lord, and his family was the joy of his life.



Stanley is preceded in death by his parents: Ted and Barbara Bushong; brother: Frank R. Bushong; and son-in-law Garry Pinkston.

Survivors include Stanley’s loving wife of 62 years: Bobbie Bushong; daughters: Debbie Pinkston and Cindy Cotten, both of Sinton, Texas. grandchildren: Nicholas (Tara) Pinkston of Sinton, Texas, Stanley Joe (Lauren) Pinkston of Corpus Christi, Texas and Courtney (Travis) Pollard of Corpus Christi, Texas: great-grandchildren: Piper Pinkston, Max Pinkston, Sadie Pinkston and Lucy Pollard; sister Blanche (Prentice) Cowan of San Antonio, Texas; and sister-in-law Christine Bushong of Leander, Texas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014, beginning at 12 noon. The family will receive guests from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014, 11:00 AM, at River Hills Baptist Church located at 16318 FM 624 in Robstown, Texas with Brother Jody Simmons officiating. Pallbearers are Nick Pinkston, Stanley Joe Pinkston, Travis Pollard, Danny Lorberau, Tom Mayo and Eric Hartzendorf. Honorary Pallbearers are Glendon Bushong and Don Powers. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.
