Gary proudly and bravely served our country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War. He worked at Angelus in Vernon, California for 35 years.

When he married Dottie, she came with 4 girls, and he had no hesitation to love them as his own. He was a devoted, loving Father, who always wanted his Daughters to know that things are looking up. Gary had a very generous, giving heart. He loved his family deeply, and always found ways to demonstrate that unconditional Love. We are all Blessed to have had him as our Dad and Grand-Father.

Gary had many friends as he was well liked. He never wanted to see anyone unhappy and always had lots of jokes to tell. Gary's hobbies were playing video games and pool and would never miss an episode of the Simpson's. He also was a sports fan and never missed a game.

Born September 20, 1949, in Los Angeles, California; adopted at six months of age by Ben and Virginia Bierke.

Passed through the Veil and rested in the arms of her Saviour on February 19, 2010.

A loving Mom to her four Daughters, Deborah Sue ThunderWolf, Deanna Jean Evans (deceased 2001), Jera Dawn Lewis, and Danielle Mae Oehring and Loving Wife to Gary Lee Bushong for 22 years. She also leaves behind 12 Grand-children and 3 Great-grand children.

Dottie was always upbeat and did not like to see anyone down. She always wanted people to leave a conversation with her with a smile on their face and in their heart. Dottie had a very generous, giving heart. She loved her family deeply, and always found ways to demonstrate that unconditional Love.

Once Dottie and Gary moved to Northern California, she became very interested in the history of the old west, and in the Placerville area in particular. She became quite an avid reader and loved to visit historic towns.

Our two Loved-Ones could not imagine life without the other.
Their Love saw to it that they would be together for all eternity.
We miss them dearly, but we rest easy knowing that they are as radiant as the stars
