William Wick Bushong, 77, of Sweetwater, Tennessee, passed away 5:45 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home.

He retired from Cardinal Chemical Company, Kingsbury, Indiana. He was an active member of Vonore Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Judith Ann (Dahlstrom) Bushong; daughter Sally (Tim) Fox of Fort Myers, Florida; sons Willy (Peg) Bushong of Hamlet, Indiana, John (Dawn) Marshall of Koontz Lake, Indiana, and Mark (Stephanie) Bushong of Oregon; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents Cleo and Ida Belle Bushong; sisters Nina, Maymie, Rowena, Runell, Nola, Chris, Bernice, Mabelline; brothers Leon, Donald, Irvin, David; and first wife Rosalyn Jean (Steele) Bushong.

Funeral will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Vonore Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Collins, Dr. Doug Sager and Zachary Bushong officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Vonore Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, Tennessee.

Auto-Train Crash Kills Ex-Resident
LAPORTE- Mrs. Roselyn J. Bushong, 40-year-old former resident of Crawfordsville, was killed Wednesday when her car was struck by a train about seven miles south of here.
Mrs. Bushong's three children were riding in the car when it was hit by a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad train, and one of them, 2-year-old Sally, was brought to a hospital here with a possible skull fracture.
Mrs. Bushong and her husband William (Wick) Bushong, moved from Crawfordsville to Kingsford Heights near here about two years ago.
While living at Crawfordsville, they resided first at 613 Liberty St. and later at 707 Liberty St.
Bushong was employed in Crawfordsville by Christian Casket Co., while Mrs. Bushong was employed by Hardy's Bakery. Her mother reportedly is still an employee of the bakery.
Mrs. Bushong, a native of Alamo, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Steel.

Rites Saturday For Victim of Crossing Crash
Funeral services are announced here for 3:30 p.m. Saturday for Rosalyn Jean Bushong, 24, former Crawfordsville resident killed Wednesday in a railroad crossing crash 7 miles south of LaPorte.
The rites will be at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, where friends may call, and burial will be Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Bushong was a native of this city, born May 8, 1940 to Homer and Clella Plunkett Steele. She married William Bushong Oct. 7, 1958. She lived in Kingsford Heights, near LaPorte, the last two years.
She was a 1958 graduate of Alamo High School.
Survivors include the husband; her parents, of Rt. 1 Waynetown; three children, William Allen, Sally Ann and Mark Anthony; a brother, James Steele of Lafayette, and her grandmothers, Mrs. Laura Plunkett and Mrs. Orma Steele of Crawfordsville. A sister, Marilyn Jane, preceded her in death.

Funeral Services Held For Rosalyn Bushong
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosalyn Jean Bushong were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Howard F. Miller officiating. Burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were Robert Rogers, Ruddel Adams, Jerry Cooper, Leroy Carter, Leonard Dowell, and Bud Stewart.
Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O. C. Edwards.
Mrs. Bushong, wife of William Bushong, died Wednesday when her car was struck by a train at Kingsford Heights.

Nina Pearl Treadwell, 97, of Fairbury, passed away at 8:44 am, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Woodridge Supportive Living Facility, Pontiac.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Burial will follow in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury will be assisting the family with arrangements.

Visitation will be 11am to 12:45pm prior to services on Wednesday also at the church in Fairbury. Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church of Fairbury or OSF Hospice.

Mrs. Treadwell was born December 10, 1916 in Mt. Gilead, KY; the daughter of Ida Belle Hume and Albert Rasner. She married Harold Treadwell on June 25, 1944, in Chicago. Her husband preceded her in death in December of 1995.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, five bothers, five sisters and son in-law, Jim Ropp.

Survivors include two daughters, Harolyn Ropp of Cornelius, NC; Janice (Curtis) Meiss of Fairbury, IL; one sister, Christine Johnson of Kingsford Heights, IN; one brother, William Wick Bushong of Sweetwater, TN; two grandsons, Douglas Ropp of Charlotte, NC; Dr. Kenneth (Marli) Meiss of Peoria, IL; two granddaughters, Christina (Rob) Dowell of Mebane, NC; Traci (Scott) Daimid of Orland Park, IL; and 6 great granddaughters, with the seventh to be born in October 2014.

Nina graduated from Tompkinsville, KY H.S. in 1938 and Heins Beauty College, Chicago in 1939. She worked as a beautician in Chicago and in 1954 came to Fairbury working until her retirement in 2010, a total of 71 years.

Mrs. Treadwell was a member of Mt. Gilead, KY Church of Christ and baptized in a country creek near the church. She was also a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Chicago teaching 3rd grade Sunday school. In Fairbury Nina attended First Baptist Church and served as president of the Maranatha Society for 15 years before moving to Woodridge SLF, Pontiac in 2013. She was a member of Fairbury Music Lovers Club.

Nina will be remembered for her determination to keep going, no gray hairs, never complaining, always smiling and her work longevity. She always made an effort to be with family and friends, even in her last days.
