Wilma was born in Houston, Texas and was a lifelong resident of the Cypress
Fairbanks and Cypress areas of Harris County. She was raised on a dairy farm
just a short distance from where she and Don would later build their dream home
on Ladino Street, in Cypress. She attended High School (and was a cheerleader)
at Cy-Fair High School. In 1949, a friend introduced her to a young man serving
in the Air Force at Ellington Field. She was married to Donald Dean Bushong on
March 4, 1950 at Fairbanks Baptist Church, and for the next 67 years they were
inseparable. Wilma worked for 30 plus years for Cypress Fairbanks I.S.D. in the
Media Department. She and Don became members of Metropolitan Baptist
Church in 1984 and were active members throughout the entire time. They were
both Sunday School Department directors, teachers, greeters, and outreach
leaders. They were active in the Saints Alive and served as trip coordinators for
many, many years. Wilma played piano for both the S.S. Department and Saints
Alive. Wilma was deeply in love with her husband, children, grandchildren and
and great-grandchildren.

MARY ANN (BUSHONG0 GRACHANIN

BOARDMAN – Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wasko
Funeral Home in Campbell with Fr. John Trimbur officiating, for Mary Ann
(Bushong) Grachanin, 77, who on Saturday, 14 January was called by our Lord
to dwell in heaven, after a short term illness at the Hospice House.

Mary Ann was born 7 August 1934, in Youngstown, the daughter of Martin
Clyde and Olive Rodgers Bushong. Her parents passed away when she was young and
she was raised by Nan “Sugar” Sladen in McDonald.
Mary Ann married “the love of her life” Joseph Grachanin, and they resided
in Campbell for all of their married life. In the years, following her
husbands passing, she made her home with her daughter in Boardman.
Mary Ann was proud to be an Austintown Fitch alumni. She graduated in June
of 1952 and went to trade school to become a Comptometer Operator. She
worked at Truscon Industries until the birth of her daughter and then she
became a full time homemaker. Late in life, she rejoined the work force as a
courier for ClinLab, a job she loved dearly.
She loved to gamble, especially at Mountaineer and Rivers Casino and
locally at Internet Sweepstakes. She also enjoyed football season very much and
was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all, she loved family and friends.
Her greatest joy was spending time with them, and she was always “the life
of the party.” Her one-liners and laugh will be missed by all who knew and
loved her.
Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory her only child, Linda Marie Grachanin
of Boardman; a sister, Joann Virginia Sladen of Houston; and a loving
family of sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Grachanin,
whom she married 7 February 1959, and passed away 29 January 1993; a sister,
Jessie Mae Krempasky; a brother, Paul Willard Curl; and her third little
sister, Nan Ainslee Guisler.
The Grachanin family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko
