WALTON, Indiana (UPI) ---- Henry Bushong, 34, Frankfort, was killed here
Thursday by suffocation in a sewer ditch cave-in.
Authorities said Bushong was helping dig a ditch on a sewage treatment
plant construction project.
Bushong was buried neck-deep when the eight-foot ditch gave way and
trapped him and his younger brother, Robert. The brother was freed by other
workers, and treated for shock.

Ronald L. Bushong, 72, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in his residence.

He was born on October 8, 1946 in Lafayette to the late Charles and Ruth (Ray) Bushong. Ronald attended Southwestern High School. His marriage was to Jessie J. Green and she survives.

He worked as a supervisor for Industrial Plating Inc. here in Lafayette for many years and then retired.

Ronald enjoyed fishing , gambling and working in his yard . He enjoyed the time he had to be with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving with his wife are one son; two daughters; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and one brother.

Ronald was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Bushong; grandson, Micheal Thompson; four sisters; and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Ed Underwood officiating. Interment will be at West Point Cemetery.

Ronald enjoyed fishing , gambling and working in his yard . He enjoyed the time he had to be with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are Wife, Jessie Bushong of Lafayette, daughter, Jessica (Paul) Ford of Waveland, son, Ronald (Dede) Bushong, Jr. of Colburn, daughter, Lisa (Nick) Killey of Lafayette, granddaughter, Josie (Joe) Crane, grandson, Jordan Thompson, grandson, Joseph (Bailey) Killey, grandson, Cory Killey, great granddaughters Elli Crane, Kenna Kiger, brother, Jerry Bushong of CO.

Ronald was preceded in death by daughter Helen Bushong, grandson Micheal Thompson and 4sisters and 4 brothers.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Friday November 16, 2018 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette. Followed by funeral service at 1:00:pm Rev.
