Evelyn L. Bushong, 89, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born February 9, 1928 in Goshen to Russell and Anna (Bohn) Hartzler.

On Decembetr 12, 1954 she married Nelson L. Bushong in Goshen.

He survives along with two sons, Garen (Susan) Bushong of North Manchester and Steven (Helen) Bushong of Goshen; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Hartzler.

Mrs. Bushong graduated from Goshen High School in 1946 and American Conservatory of Music in 1952. She gave organ lessons for 40 years and was the longtime organist at Eighth Street Mennonite Church where she was a member.

She enjoyed gardening.

MILFORD -- Kathryn S. Bushong, 89, of 504 W. Fourth St., died at 3:23 p.m.
Wednesday (23 March 2005) at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center
in Milford.

She was born 5 February 1916, in Nappanee, to Edward and Mary Ellen
(Hamsher) Huber.
She married Jerold Bushong on 11 June 1939. He died in 1995.
Surviving are one daughter, Jeri (D.G "Bud") Seely of Milford; one son,
John (Leesa) Bushong of South Bend; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ross Huber.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home,
461 W. 900 N., Milford, where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The
Rev. V.L. Vawter will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Mrs. Bushong moved to the Milford area from Goshen in 1946. She retired
from Barth in Milford after several years of service. She previously worked as
a cook at Milford High School. She was a member of Milford Christian
Church.
Memorials may be given to the Milford Lions Club or Southern Hospice of

Janet E. (Bushon) Shockley, 57, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, died Sunday, 21
May 2006 at her residence.
She was born 8 October 1948 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of
the late Harry and Juanita (McKeen) Bushon.
She owned and operated Larry's Pizza & Wings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
sister-in-law, Connie Shockley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, John Shockley;
daughter , Caryn (Andy) Dinneen of Mt. Sterling; son, Kristin (Jenifer) Shockley
of Upper Arlington; grandchildren, Allison and Ashley Dinneen and Taylor
Shockley; sister, Carol (Milton) Wood of Grove City, Ohio; brother, Michael
(Debbie) Bushon; sister, Judy (Nick) Frangos; aunts, Dorothy Bushon and
Madelyn Adams, all of Wheeling, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews and
great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 24 May 2006 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 6
p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Ohio,
where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dortha
Ross and Rev. Tony Wagner officiating. In keeping with Janet's wishes,
cremation will follow the service.
Family suggests contributions may be given to the Mt. Sterling
