WILLIAM H. MORGAN was born in Olden county, Kentucky, in the year 1840,
from whence his parents removed to Cass county, Illinois, while he was a
child. After a few years stay in Illinois, the family again removed in 1858, to
Grand River county, Missouri, where they remained but a few years. Again,
pursuing their way westward, finally halted on the east bank of the Missouri
river, in Atchison county, and near the site of the now flourishing town
of Watson. Here the family located permanently, and the father, P. G.
Morgan, a bold and ambitious man, soon became noted in political circles as the
leader of his party in that section of the state, until his death in 1873.
The subject of this sketch enjoyed only the educational advantages to be
derived from the common schools; but being a youth of unusual force of
character and a strong thinker, and an active worker, he soon took a foremost
place among men, and has frequently been called to positions of honor and
trust. In 1874, he was elected by a large majority of the popular vote to the
position of one of the judges of the county court for a term of six years,
which office he now holds. Judge Morgan is an exemplary Christian in his
life; and is a member of the Masonic fraternity. He has been twice married,
first with Miss Mary Bushong, who died two years subsequent to her marriage.
His present wife was Amanda L., daughter of John Goode, of Atchison county,
starting in life, with no other capital than his own strong arms and brave
heart, he has by steady habits of industry and frugality, become possessor
of a fine and valuable estate adjoining the town of Watson.

Roy Chester Morrow was born on 19 March 1888. He and Sylvia Zolo Bushong were married on 10 December 1913. He died on 5 March 1964, at age 75. He was buried in Esbon Cemetery, Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.

Mrs Myrtle S. Bushong, 73, wife of Eugene Bushong, 802 E. Kibby-st, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday in Memorial hospital following an illness of several years. She had been a medical patient at the hospital since July 19.
Mrs. Bushong was born in Walton, Ind., and had resided in Lima for 46 years. She was married to Eugene Bushong in 1899.
He survives. She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian church; the Loyal Women's class of the church; Stella Rebekah lodge; Woman's Benefit-assn, and the auxilary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Claude (Ted), 223 S. Woodlawn-av; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Bendure, at home; Mrs. Ruth Minardi, 657 Ewing-av; two granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Cora Hall, Logansport, Ind., and a brother, Frank Layton, Elwood, Ind.
The body will remain at the Siferd and Son funeral home for sevices at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Colonial chapel. The Rev. Ralph J. Hawley will offciate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Mary Bushong was born on 12 April 1900 in Indiana. She and Joseph Roush were married. She died on 26 July 1984, at age 84. She was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Allen County, Ohio.
