The telegram states that G.S. Bushon died at the age of 69 yrs 2 mo and 16 days in 1922. He was at the residence of Mrs. Sam Bushon. The telegram was sent by R.D. Bushon. I am trying to trace the Bushon family and I believe that Ann in Texas is a part of my family.

These people resided in Corsicana, Texas around 1910. If so, they must either be the children of Margaret Reed or Frances Reed. However, nothing positive has been found to link these three people to either Reed daughter. Carroll's sister, maggie confirms his mother and father's maiden name...

Mr. Gorman Bushon of Dallas and Miss Irma Rogers of Commerce was united
in marriage Saturday afternoon, 28 April at the home of the groom's mother
in Dallas.
Miss Irma Rogers is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E.
Rogers of Commerce. She is a graduate of the Sherman High School and had
business training in a Dallas Commercial school. She possesses many
qualifications that endears her to those who know her best. For the past year she has
been employed in Dallas.
The groom is a young business man of Dallas, an electrical engineer by
trade and has a large circle of friends among his acquaintances.

center in Ft. Des Moines, IA. When she moved to California she taught Home
Economics to high school students. She also taught many La Mirada residents to
swi m. Later in life she obtained her real estate and broker's license as
well. She loved to have lunch at the La Mirada Senior Center and walked in the
park every day. She was also loved gardening. She will be greatly missed.

Alice Ruth Davis was born on 1 December 1924 in Putnam County, Ohio. She and Harley Herbert Bushong were married on 3 June 1950 in Putnam County, Ohio. She died on 20 December 2008, at age 84, in Allen County, Ohio. She was buried in Carmen Cemetery, Gomer, Allen County, Ohio.

She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Putnam County to Leonard and Blowden Jones Davis, who preceded her in death. On June 3, 1950, she married H. Herbert Bushong, who survives in Elida.

Mrs. Bushong was a secretary for the Elida Local School District for 18 years. She was a member of Gomer United Church of Christ. She was a co-founder and past president of the Welsh Society of North West Ohio. She was a life member of the Elida FFA. She was a honorary member of Chepstow Male Voice Choir of Chepstow, Wales. She was a former choir director, church chorister, and led several Gymanfa Ganu. She and her husband traveled as escorts through Travel Concepts for many years.

Survivors also include a son, Scott Bushong, of Troy; a daughter, Janet (Rusty) May, of Delphos; and three grandchildren, Abby, Josh and Katie May, all of Delphos.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gomer United Church of Christ. The Rev. Brian Knoderer will officiate. Burial will be in Carmen Cemetery in Gomer.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Harter and Schier Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Welsh Society or the American Heart Association.

BUSHONG, MAGDALENE M. of Essexville
Magdalene M. Bushong, age 92 years, died 30 December 2015 at Bay
County Medical Care Facility. She was born 18 March 1923 to the late
Philip and Rita (Groulx) Grandmaison in Bay County. For many years, she
was employed at the former General Hospital and Bay County Medical Care
Facility. Maggie was a member of All Saints Parish - St. James Church,
its Altar Society, and the International Order of Foresters. She also
belonged to the Bay Area Family Y where she was an active swimmer.
Maggie enjoyed cooking, sewing drapes and clothes, antiquing, and
traveling extensively. Along with her husband, Lloyd she spent much
time at Interlochen camping and listening to music. They also enjoyed
ballroom dancing together. He predeceased her on 9 March 1986. She is
survived by eight children: Kathleen (Charles) Morris, Lloyd Thomas
(Lynda) Bushong, Douglas Bushong, James (Myrna) Bushong, Michael
(Carolyn) Bushong, Mary (Paul) Gwizdala, Carol Mehlhose, Patrick
Bushong; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren: one
great-great-grandson; her sister-in-law: Nancy Grandmaison; and several
nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded
in death by her daughter, Sharon Bushong in 1958; and five sisters and
three brothers. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, 5
January 2016 at 10:00 am in All Saints Parish St. James Church (710
Columbus
Ave., Bay City). Magdalene will lie in state in church Tuesday after
9:00 am. Rev. Stephen Fillion will preside and private interment will
be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be designated
for All Saints Parish or the Bay County Medical Care Facility. Visiting
hours with the family will be Monday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with
the Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 pm in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. A son....
