Floyd Bushong, 56, of Canyon, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memory Gardens
Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Deckard, associate pastor of First United
Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral
Directors of Canyon.

Mr. Bushong was born in Granite City, Ill. In 1960, he graduated from
Granite City High School and enlisted in the Army with the Special
Forces. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Mr. Bushong was a heavy machine operator in construction. In 1984, he
was employed in the purchasing department of WTAMU until his
retirement in 1994. He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church.

He married Sharon Jenkins in 1996 at Canyon.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brett McGregor of Amarillo and
Bryce McGregor of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.

Sharon Lee Bushong, 69, of Canyon died Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Amarillo.

Photos

Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Canyon with the Rev. John McClean, pastor, and the Rev. Donna Johnston, associate pastor, officiating. Private burial will be by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Sharon Lee Bushong was born April 11, 1939, in Geddes, S.D., to Lloyd and Eleanor Leach Jenkins. Sharon was a lab technician at the Canyon Clinic for 28 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society and the Golden Girls. Sharon was also a member of First United Methodist Church, where she participated in the adult choir and the Crusaders Sunday School Class. She spent time volunteering for BSA, Sky West Assisted Living, the Conner House, Canyon Cares, the Hudson House and Palo Duro Retirement Center. Sharon had been a resident of the community for more than 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Brett McGregor and wife Kay of Amarillo and Bryce McGregor and wife Anna of Lubbock; three grandsons, Jacob McGregor of Lubbock, Michael McGregor of Amarillo and Brian Sheriff of Tempe, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Jordan McGregor of Lubbock; a special friend, A.E. Kenney of Fritch; and adopted family, Steve and Tracy Johnson of Canyon.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, 1818 Fourth Ave., Canyon, TX 79015.
