wife was Edith Sylvania Younker (1836-1877). His second wife, my great

children: Frank Wellington (1880-1956) and Ora Emmaline (1878-1964).

From a 1912 letter there is information on a grave yard on the property "Margaret (McCrary) Bolen's mother lived to be quite old and spent her last days with her daughter, Margaret (her namesake) who was your father's grandmother Bolen--the wife of Henry Bolen. She was buried in the grave yard on the hill above our grandfather Bolen's (Henry) house in Lawrence County, Ohio. We don't know your old great-great-grandmother's family name, I am sorry to say." (59)(TB--Later we learned her father was Matthew Young and that she had a brother Alexander Young of Floyd County, Kentucky, who mentioned his sister in several documents)
59. Letter from Isabella Bolen Lenhart by Isabella Kennan: Springfield Ohio, Aug. 17, 1912 to F. A. Hobble, Dodge City, Kansas
I asked the current owner, Harvey Gillispie, if there was an old cemetery on the property. He said yes. He said that it was up the hill and in the woods beyond the fence. He invited me to walk up there and take a look. It was very late in the day and I didn't take him up on his offer. I did take a picture of the hill, see below. He said that some years back a Mr. and Mrs. (Virgil & Marguerite) Ramsey of South Webster, Ohio, went up there and took readings of the stones that were there.

But was this the Isabella who married John A. Ham on 26 December 1852 in Warsaw, Benton, Missouri? She was born and died in Kentucky. Other Bushongs moved to Missouri and in the 1860 Census, she is in Benton, Missouri with three children as Isabella Ham. In that entry, she is not marked as single, married, or widowed. Was this her? I believe that the proximity of her uncle James Bushong and his family on the same page proves the association with the Bushong family. Where was John A Ham? I can't locate him. Isabella moved back to Kentucky and was listed in the 1870 Census without children. Did they die or did her ex-husband take them? It's a mystery. Her obituary does not mention John Ham or any children.
