Malinda was the daughter of Hezekiah and Minerva Kirkendall Bushong, born on April 9, 1878, in Kosciusko county. She married Roy Klopenstein on Oct. 10, 1896, and became his widow in 1943.
Mrs. Kopenstein was a Milford/Leesburg resident all her life, worshiping at the Church of God, Mount Tabor, just south of Nappanee. She went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 21, at Murphy medical center, just 12 days after her 79th birthday.
Mourners include her sons, Emery, Wilbur, and Alva; one daughter, Mrs. Esta Yokum; two brothers, Charles and John; and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Linkenfelt and Mrs. Henry Booth.

William was the son of Hezekiah and Minervia Kirkendall Bushong, born on January 17, 1880, in Kosciusko county. He was united in marriage to Miss Deprudence Butt on July 8, 1899, but he lost her to death in 1938.
Mr. Bushong was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko county, working as a farmer. He moved to Milford in 1914 and was town marshall for 28 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Bushong belonged to the First Brethren church. He went home to the Lord and was re-united with his beloved Prue on Tuesday, Nov. 13, while at the Elkhart General hospital. He was 76 years old.
Mourning for William are three daughters, Mrs. Mable Clauss, Mrs. Glenn Stookey, and Mrs. William Rex; three sons, Kenneth, Joe, and Robert; two brothers, John and Charles; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Klopenstein, Mrs. Henry Booth, and Mrs. William Lingofelter; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Bushong has lived in the Milford community his whole life, working as a janitor at the middle school and a railroader. He worked with his son in the plastering business. He worshiped at the Christian church in Milford. He went home to the Lord on April 23 while at Elkhart General hospital. He was 78 years old.
Mourners include his daughter, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Teeple; a brother, Charles; a sister, Mrs. Alice Linkofelt of St. Paul, Minn.; and a niece, Mrs. Wm. Tschenel in St.Paul. Five brothers and sisters, William, Nora, Etta, Ida, and Malinda, had already died.

He was born on January 6, 1886 two miles east of Milford, Indiana.
John married Ethel Lavering on November 29, 1906 in Kosciusko County. She was born on March 17, 1888 to David and Alice (Fuller) Lavering. Ethel died on January 25, 1910 at the age of 22. The following appeared in the newspaper after her death:

MILFORD, Indiana, 26 January ---- Mrs. John Bushong, who was so badly burned Monday morning when her dress came in contact with a heating stove, died yesterday. At no time after the accident was there any hope for her recovery.
Three years later John married Ida Belle Wogoman on June 21, 1913. Ida was born on July 14, 1892 to John and Harriet Elizabeth (Phebus) Wogoman.
Together they had 2 children:

John passed away on April 23, 1964 at the age of 78
