Mrs. Houghton-Daily married Henry Richard Daily in 1990, fifty years after they first met at American University. Mr. Daily served in the Merchant Marine in the World War II, and later worked in marine insurance for many years. The couple divided their time between Keedysville and Kilmarnock, Virginia, where they owned a waterfront property. Mr. Daily died in 2007.

Ruth Glaser was born on 20 June 1943. She died on 10 February 2017, at age 73.

Her married name was Ruth Byal. Ruth Glaser Byal, age 95 years, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away February 10, 2017.

She was born on February 16, 1921 in Townwood, Ohio, to the late George M. and Anna R. (Bushong) Glaser. On June 20, 1943 she married John M. Byal who preceded her in death on March 27, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Marvin Glaser (2012) and Richard Glaser (2014). Ruth is survived by 2 children, Ann (Alan) Feldshue of Dunedin, FL and Mark (Lynne) Byal of Northville, MI; 3 grandchildren, Margaret Winter, Ellen Powell, and Louis Feldshue; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial will be held on June 17, 2017 at 3:00PM at the McComb Union Cemetery, McComb, OH.

Arrangements are being handled by the Hartley-Hanneman Funeral Home, McComb, Drew DeVore, Funeral Director.
