Mansfield, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at The Gables at Green Pastures
after a lengthy illness.
She was a 1941 graduate of Middleburg High School.
She was born July 11, 1923, in Rowlesburg, W.Va., to the late Rev. Lloyd
Earl and Minnie G. Ruckle Weaver and was predeceased by two brothers,
Lloyd Earl Weaver Jr. and Charles B. Weaver; two sisters, Hazel Welch
and Edith First; a brother-in-law, Elva Castle; and her husband of 28
years, Cloyce "Bucky" Bushong.
She is survived by two sons, Ted Bushong of North Lewisburg and Tom
(Peggy) Bushong of Worthington Hills; two granddaughters, Jennifer and
Allison; a brother, Harold (Rachel) Weaver of North Lewisburg; and two
sisters, Ruth Case of North Lewisburg and Gladys Castle of Marysville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the
Freshwater-McDonald Funeral Home in North Lewisburg. The Rev. Jim
Jenkerson of the First Nazarene Church of Marysville will officiate and
burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lewisburg. Friends may
call from 6 ot 8 p.m. today.

84, of Springfield died Thursday morning, January 24, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1917 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Victor and Marie (Hupman) Bushong. Mrs. Walker graduated from Miami University and was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, While living in Columbus, she served on the Women's Board of Children's Hospital and with the Canterbury Unit of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Walker was past-member of Young Woman's Mission in Springfield and was very active in the C. F. Water. Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Uday Joshi of Wilton, Connecticut; son, Mark Walker of Atlanta, Georgia; and two grandchildren, Krishna Joshi of Cincinnati and Cary Joshi of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ned Walker in 1998. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio. AN ENEMY IN THE HOUSE

Clerk Smuggles in His Brother-In-Law to Sandbag the Company's Cashier.

Frederick S Hanna cashier of the German/American Coffee Company at 406 Greenwich Street, was sitting in the office on the second floor last night bending over a typewriter. The office was the only part of the building that was lighted. So far as Hanna knew nobody else was around except the night watchman, Ed Murphy on the floor below. Mr Hanna was busily pounding the keys when a man stole in behind him and struck at his head with a sandbag. Mr Hanna Is slightly nearsighted and at that moment bent over to correct an error. The sandbag merely grazed his neck. Hanna jumped up with a yell his assailant fled The cashier ran out of the office, calling for the watchman. Murphy heard him and ran out into the street, where he caught Policeman Schreiber. Schrieber blew his whistle which brought Policemen Sullivan, Hogan, and Monahan. The four policemen scattered through the building In the cellar Sullivan saw a pair of legs sticking out from behind a pile of coffee bags he grabbed them. The owner of the legs got away in the dark. Sullivan and Hogan continued their search and found him hid in a barrel. They dragged him to light and he turned out to be Clinton Bushong, a young clerk employed by the firm. Bushong had a key to the building.In the doorway of the street the police men encountered another young man who promptly threw up his hands on demand. He said he was Willard Marquett a machinist, a brother-in-law of Bushong. At the Leonard street police station Bushong said he had received two weeks notice of dismissal and he wanted to get square. He consulted his brother-in-law who had advised sandbagging the cashier at night and getting away with the money in the safe. Mr Hanna was only slightly hurt. He said that there happened to be only $200 in the safe last night. Bushong has been With the company five years. He is said to own three hundred acres up in Sullivan county. His brother-in-law, Marquett admitted that he was the man who had sandbagged Mr Hanna. Marquett carried in his breast pocket a number of medals for expertness in sharp-shooting.

Pleading guilty to a charge that they sandbagged and robbed Fred S Hanna a clerk In the office of the German-American Coffee Company at No. 406 Grand street, Wlllet Marquette, twenty-four years old, of No. 2526 Seventh avenue and Clinton Bushong of No. 214 West One Hundred arid Forty-eighth street, were today sentenced to not less than two years and four months or more than two years and five months in State's prison by, Judge Craln In the Court of General Sessions. Marquette and Bushong who formerly worked for the company, entered Hanna's office while he was busy over his books, sandbagged him and got away with $175, which was In the cash drawer.
