SERVICES TUESDAY FOR MRS. BUSHONG
Mary Elizabeth Bushong, 91, of Du Quoin, died Sunday at Marshall Browning
hospital in Du Quoin, after a long illness.
Mrs. Bushong was born in Tamaroa, October 28, 1878, the daughter of Hugh
and Betty Christian George.
She was married to Oliver P. Bushong, in September, 1896, in Mt. Vernon.
He preceded her in death March 15, 1958.
Mrs. Bushong had lived in Du Quoin for about 70 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sherman Lybarger of Du Quoin; a son Carl of
Peoria; and two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
A son, three sisters, five brothers, and a grandchild preceded her in
death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Neal Memorial Chapel in
Du Quoin, with the Rev. W. T. Branon officiating.
Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in du Quoin.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today or Tuesday at the funeral

Eva B. Eckert, 82, of Luther Acres, 600 East Main Street, Lititz, died there at 8:30 a.m. Saturday after an illness of six months.
She was the wife of Adam Eckert Jr., also of Luther Acres. In January, the couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.
A graduate of the former Rothsville High School and of Lancaster Business School, she worked as a secretary for Raymakr Corporation of Manheim and later for Woodstream Corporation of Lititz.
Formerly of Manheim, she was a resident at Luther Acres for three years. Born in Warwick Township, she was the daughter of the late Ivin and Bessie Miller Bushong.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lititz, and of the Martha Circle of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Grace B. Bigler, 92, of 200 St. Luke Drive, Apt. 405, Lititz, PA, formerly of Lititz, died Wednesday morning, December 17, 2008 at the Manor at Luther Acres. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Ivin G. and Bessie Miller Bushong.

She is survived by one son, Edwin Gary Bushong of Sassamansville, PA, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Lee Bigler, of Great Falls, MT, two brothers, Roy M. Bushong, of Ephrata, PA and Warren M. Bushong of Lititz, and two sisters, Ruth M. Bushong and Eva B. Eckert, both of Lititz.

Grace was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rothsville, PA, a member of the former Lancaster Chapter No. 501, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the former Lancaster County Farm Women No. 13.

Respecting Grace's wishes, there will be no viewing, services, or floral tributes. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family in Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Rothsville, PA.

Warren M. Bushong, 89, of Lititz passed away on May 24, 2007 at Luther Acres
Manor. He was the husband of the late Geraldine L. Bushong.

Warren served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific
Theater in the Northern Solomons and Guadalcanal campaigns.

He was a member of Manheim Lodge #587 F. & A.M., Lancaster County Shrine
Club, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, Reading Consistory, Rajah Shrine, and the
Americal Division Guadalcanal Co. Veterans. He enjoyed antique cars and H.D.
motorcycles.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a salesman of Peterbilt Trucks.

He is survived by daughters, Beth B. wife of George A. Abel, Glen Mills;
Lori J., wife of Robert Pennington, Jr. , Pequea; three grandchildren, two great
grandchildren, and a sister, Grace Bigler, Lititz.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Richard H.
Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, at 2:00 P.M. preceded by a
visitation from 1:00 to 1:45P.M. and a Masonic Service conducted by the Manheim
Lodge. Burial will be in Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.
