Fern is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Nevins of Salem, Oregon; son, Bruce Hoagland of Merced; son, Dale Hoagland of Oakdale; 4 granddaughters, and many greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Neal Hoagland and Charles Western, and her brother, Clarence Bushong. At Fern's request, there will be no formal services. A private burial has been held. William Bushon, well known resident of Wetzel County, died 3 March 1932,
at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Durig, on American Ridge. He is
survived by four daughters, Mrs. Adolph Durig, of American Ridge, Mrs. Kate
Bucher and Mrs. Allie Stiehm, of Wheeling. Funeral services were held Sunday
from the Baptist Church in New Martinsville and interment was made in
North View Cemetery.

The many friends of Thos. Bucher will be pained to learn that he died Friday night of that dread disease, tuberculosis, after a short time of suffering. He was a member of the Christian church, and a member of the Wetzel Lodge, No. 38 A.F. & A.M. His remains were brought here Sunday morning, and funeral services... He leaves a widow and two children, Inez, aged 14, and Blanche, 11 years old. The remains were accompanied here from Reader by Rev. Wesley Burgess, Mrs. Allen Marshall [Alice?] Wm. Bushon, father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bushon, Jeff and Emery Yost, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Bucher, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Burgess, Walter Burgess, Mrs. Adolph Durig, Mrs. Chas. Durig, Clarence and Mart Bucher, Robt. Kidder and wife, and Mrs. E. W. Schupbach. Thomas Bucher was a kind father and husband and a useful man. He had been making his home at Akron, Ohio, and came here three weeks ago to attend the funeral of his sister, and owing to his weakened condition, remained with his parents at Reader until he was called to meet his loving sister beyond the wide river. MRS. MARY LENA BOYD

Mrs. Mary Lena Boyd, 65, died suddenly Wednesday at 9 p.m. at
University hospital, Columbus, following a short illness.
Formerly a resident of Coshocton Route 2, she had lived for the past 15
years at Pullman, Washington.
She was born 18 August 1894, at Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Bushong. In 1917 she was married to Harold D. Boyd,
who died 19 March 1945.
Her survivors include five sons, Dr. Milton A. Boyd of Coshocton, Dr.
James B. Boyd of Geneva, Ohio, William T. of Columbus, Charles R. of Rome,
Ohio, and Harold D. of Dayton, Washington and 14 grandchildren.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pullman.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home
with Rev. Olan Aughbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Duncan Falls, Ohio.
Friends may call a the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
