Al Bushong, 76, of Naples, Florida (previously a Columbus Grove resident), died Wednesday, 1 August 1984, in Naples Community Hospital, Naples, Florida.
He was born 20 November 1907 in Putnam County to James and Julia (Marks) Bushong.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Gloria, are three sisters, Loma Woodward, Fowlerville, Michigan, Ruth Harris, Columbus Grove, Della Clark, Bluffton; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Chrismer, Stryker ; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Bushong.
Mr. Bushong served in the United States Navy during World War II. While living in Columbus Grove, he was a mailman and owned and operated Bushong Memorials.

Mr. Bushong died Wednesday at his home after a brief illness. He was
employed in the freight rate accounting department of southern Railway for 30
years. A native of Culpeper, Virginia, he had moved to Atlanta in 1928
from Washington.
He was a member of Capitol View Baptist Church and Kirkwood Lodge No.
548 F & AM.
Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Ruby Harris; a daughter Julia

OSCAR AMBLER BUSHONG

Oscar Ambler Bushong, 67, of Jenkins Avenue in Culpeper died 27 August
after suffering a heart attack at the business he owned, Clark Hardware Store.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Dulaney Bushong, Culpeper; two
daughters, Julie Page Bushong and Marjorie Bushong , both of
Culpeper; a brother, Isaac Bushong, Baltimore, and two sisters, Vesta C.
Paytes, Arlington, and Gladys B. Clarke, Oklahoma. Funeral was held at the
Culpeper Baptist Church on 30 August, with the Rev. John S. Farrar presiding.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hollie Sisk, Billy Creek, Willie Deal, Doug
Haverstock, Leslie Taylor, L. F. Brown Jr., Tommy Geil and Steve Lane Jr.
Clore Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Robert Christian Diehl

Robert C. Diehl, age 69, died at his home, 314 W. Main Street, Jonesboro, Saturday.

Mr. Diehl was owner and operator of a grain and feed business for several years, later changed to Richard Diehl Feed and Seed Company, located on Depot Street, in Jonesboro, Mr. Diehl remained active in the operation until his death.

He was a native of Washington County and a son of the late David A. and Callie Martin Diehl. He was a member of the Central Christian Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lydia Bushong Diehl; one son, Richard, Jonesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald Squibb, Johnson City; Mrs. Don Carson, Telford, and Mrs. Ralph Maden, Jonesboro; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the chapel of Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
