Truman was born the day New Fairfield was burned during the Revolutionary War. Their home was spared as his mother was in labor. His father Gideon was fighting to save the town. This was recorded in the midwife's journal. Truman had a great knowledge of making maple syrup. He moved to Harpersfield, Delaware County, New York in 1806. On May 28, 1837 he was dismissed to a church in Holly, Delaware County, New York (Church records, New Fairfield, Connecticut). In 1829 Truman moved to Huntsburg, Geauga County, Ohio. He was accompanied by his wife, two sons, daughter Hannah Byrum and their families. The group traveled by covered wagon or by horseback.

brother, C. W. Bushong, treasurer of Pulaski. Lokking for the parents of Robert A. Hoffman/Huffman, he was born Jan. 1, 1867 and died Sept. 20, 1922. He married Eudora Kate Bushon. They are buried in Madison. His parents are listed as George William Huffman and Sallie Huffman. His siblings are Virginia E., James E. and Willis A. Would like to find out if these are related to the Huffman/Hoffman family in Madison County. Particularly to Robert Angus Hoffman who was born in Dec. 1845, I know they tie into the family line.

This is because of two pieces of information. Sarah is not mentioned in Henry's will, and the 1900 census record, below.
First, to not be named in a will does not inducated that they weren't married, they were both elderly and had previous families.

Second, the 1900 Census below, is thought to be for Henry's second wife, Sarah Emberton, and if true, she didn't take his name. Also there is a coincidence that this Sarah is next to John Bell Bushong...... but, the grandson Barlow proves that this is indeed a different Sarah Emberton, the wife of Alfred Emberton, notice no date is filled in for age, so it is probably Barlow's mother, Sarah Bailey, who's husband had died in 1881, as shown below census...
