DORMAN BUSHONG
Funeral services for Dorman F. Bushong, 68, Rogers, Arkansas, a native
of Ozark County, were conducted Monday at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home
in Rogers.
He died 8 May following a brief illness.
Mr. Bushong was born 27 January 1919, at Howards Ridge, the son of
Melvin and May Gibson Bushong.
After serving in the Marine Corps air wing in World War II, Mr. Bushong
entered the banking field in Gainesville. He later served as a bank
examiner and eventually became the chief executive officer of a new bank in
Rogers. He was very active in the community life of Rogers and was the recipient
of many honors.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of the home in Rogers; one
brother, Bernie Bushong, and two sisters, Bernice Reynolds and Betty Knisley, all
of Springfield.
Also, several nieces and nephews.
Interment followed the funeral at Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

ROGERS, Arkansas --- Dorman F. Bushong, Rogers, is the new president of the
Arkansas Bankers Association. Bushong took over Tuesday night in Hot
Springs at an association meeting. By virtue of his new position, Bushong also
became an ex-officio member of the Arkansas Industrial Commission.

Cecil C. Bushong was born on 8 January 1905 in Ozark County, Missouri. He and Letha Martin were married. He died on 7 December 1972, at age 67, in Ozark County, Missouri. He was buried in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Zanoni, Ozark County, Missouri.

Roy was a fine violinist, and made several as a hobby. His mother died
while he was very young, his father remarried, and Roy didn't get along
with his new mom, and he lived most of his young life with his aunt and
uncle, William Edward Hamby and Thankful Lucretia (Bushong) Hamby. Roy's
mother , Mary Hamby, was a sister to William Edward Hamby, and his
father John Gilbert Bushong, was a brother to Thankful Lucretia
(Bushong) Hamby, making him a double cousin to the children of William
and Thankful. Lived for a number of years at LeGrange, Ill., outside
of Chicago. Visited Bill and Gertrude Hamby in Chanute, Ks. before
1955.
