Russ Bushong, 44, Drowns South of Udall Landing
The body of Marvin Russell (Russ) Bushong 44, Gainesville Businessman and

5 p.m. Wednesday

search was begun late that evening which continued into Wednesday afternoon
when the body was discovered directly under on of the trot lines. His
fishing net was found hooked to the line and his boat was lodged against the
bank where the body was found in about 30 feet of water.
Taking part in the search were members of Mr. Bushong's family, the Ozark

Commission and Arkansas authorities.
Mr. Bushong, who had operated a service station and bulk oil
distributorship here for a number of years, had held the state records in Missouri and
Arkansas for largemouth bass caught in a lake. His catch, made in the spring
of 1961, weighed 13 pounds and 14 ounces.

Gainesville, and Michael Eldon , of the home; one daughter, Lana Jean, of the
home; one sister, Mrs Lovice Wallace, Gainesville; and his maternal
grandmother, Mrs LIllie Garrett, Gainesville.
