Since Cecelia was a tiny baby when her mother died, the only mother she knew was his second wife Sarah, thus the obit naming her as Sarah's daughter rather then Cevilla's. Cecelia married Charles F. Cuffley.

MRS. SARAH A. BUSHONG

Mrs. Sarah A. Bushong, wife of the late Isaac Bushong, died at her home
at Millersville, Maryland, Friday, 1st April. Her maiden name was Sarah A.
Mort, her parents having lived in this county, near Lebanon Church. Many
years ago she moved with her husband and family from Tom's Brook to
Baltimore, later to Frederick County, Virginia., thence to Millersville, Maryland.
Two of her sons, Charles of Meadeville, Pennsylvania and William of
Phoenixville, Pennsylvania entered the ministry of the Reformed church there , with her following children survive: Mrs. Cecilia Cuffley, Thomas and John H. of Baltimore; Mrs. Sophia Clark, Clinton and Bess of Millersville, Maryland.
Her remains were brought up to Harrisville on Saturday afternoon and were
interred in St. John's cemetery on Sunday at 10:30 A.M.
Rev. A. H. Smith, a college mate of Charles and William, preaching the
sermon from Isaiah 64:6. "We all do fade as a leaf."
Her age was 71 years 8 months and 30 days. Cecelia Bushong was raised by the Henry Hockman family who were related to the Isaac Bushong family. Shortly after Cecelia was born, her mother Cevilla (Wendel) Bushong died and the Hockman relative stepped in because his wife was already a nursing mother and could take care of Cecelia. Tennessee. I have searched everywhere for a hint of William's lineage. In all census records, he is in Patrick County, Virginia with Catherine Blevins who is called his Aunt. I can not find her maiden name, so can't guess his lineage. In his death record, his unrelated neighbor provided the details including a mother who was called Eliza Bushong. There is no Bushong, single, married, widowed, or divorced who could match this Bushong. The only thing I can guess is that his surname was not Bushong but the similar Basham or possibly Bashaw, who are a different line. There is a Jacob Bashaw counted with the Blevins in the 1850 Census in Virginia and Bashams and Bashaws were living in Tennessee at the time. Still, it's only a theory.

Mary Ann Shankster was born on 28 January 1848 in Ohio. She and Hiram Bushong were married on 18 September 1867 in Williams County, Ohio. She died on 15 June 1884, at age 36. She was buried in Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan, Williams County, Ohio.

Hiram Bushong was born about 1826 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. AGED MANFACTURER DIED FROM INJURIES
HIRAM BUSHONG, RETIRED LANCASTER BUSINESSMAN, THROWN TRAM A CAR TROLLEY.

Hiram Bushong, 77 years old, for many years a prominent leather
manufacturer, at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, died yesterday at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Thomas J. Leder, of 1402 Tioga Street, from the effects of injuries
sustained on Saturday night, by falling from a trolley car. Mr. Bushong's home
for the past 13 years had been at 4402 Chestnut Street.
On Saturday afternoon he had been out driving with his daughter and wife.
He was on his way, with his daughter, Mrs. Leder, to spend the night at her
home, when he was thrown from a Germantown avenue trolley car at Tioga street,
just as he was alighting. The car gave a sudden jolt and he was hurled to
the street, striking his head. His daughter would have fallen also had not the
conductor caught her.
The aged man was carried unconscious to her home and Dr. F. C. Hammond
was called in, as well as Samaritian Hospital physicians, but he died at 6
o'clock yesterday morning.
Mr. Bushong carried on a successful leather manufacturing business at
Lancaster for many years and retired 13 years ago. He was born in Lancaster
county. He was a veteran of the Civil War.
His widow and six children survive him, of the latter, two sons, John D.
and Hiram T. Bushong, are street railway contractors in New York. The husband
of Mrs. Leder is auditor and controller at Cramps' Ship yard. Viewed on death record..
